The Greenwold is a region untamed. Take a look across its dramatic terrain, and you will see a realm shaped by enormously powerful and ancient forces of nature. Civilization has established a firm toe hold along the coast, behind fortified city walls where merchants and scholars advance the cause of law and reason. For all their advances, these small nations survive only so far as they can bend and adapt to the mighty beasts and monsters that dominate the untamed wilderness that surrounds them. No forest in the world is mightier than the vast Tanglebrier, large enough to swallow whole countries within its wooded depths. Many have tried to stake claim to the ancient forest over the ages, all have crumbled beneath its roots.
This campaign has already started. One of my players had to leave for family reasons. The party is finishing up the first adventure in the campaign--a caravan escort. I was hoping to have a new fourth party member waiting for them in their destination city. So if you're interested, your character will be starting at Level 2.
This campaign will take your characters from level 1-10. All official content is allowed, but homebrew content must be approved. Use the standard array for ability scores. We will play on Discord in the Direwood Zoo server. We will use Avrae and Google Slides for combat. Avrae experience is awesome but not required.
Fill this out to apply: Character Name/Class/Planned Subclass/Race: Backstory: brief summary of where your character comes from and what motivates them Link to Character Sheet: Timezone: there is no required timezone, but it gives me an idea of when to expect you to post (I'm EST if you're interested)
Xasil has been studying the hidden secrets and lost knowledge his entire life. His parents, although they did not understand the drive and thirst for knowledge, still support their son with his passion, glad that he is happy and thriving in what he does. In his studies, Xasil spent time reading the teachings of Silvanus and grew to love the world that he roamed through. His research turned toward understanding the natural world; how it was formed, how it can be controlled. In his research, he came across an ancient tome written in Abyssal. He has yet to translate it, but has made out the words for desctruction, desolation and night. Xasil has made his way to Greyhaven looking for someone to translate the tome.
Hi! I have two character Ideas depending on the role of the bard:
Character 1:
Bharmor Silveraxe
Hill dwarf Twilight Cleric
Follower of Helm and retired soldier and mercenary who often found himself reluctantly on the front lines, Bharmor is an elderly dwarf and veers towards diplomacy and pacifism whenever possible. He found a second calling after an expedition his clan members had led left them at the mercy of the forests, searching for guidance with none to be found. Luckily they made it out safely, without tragedy, but the aging dwarf knew his time as a pure fighter was waning and he needed . Looking for answer, and with his usual methods no longer relieving him of stress Bharmor turned to religion. As a follower of Helm he seeks to bring order and comfort to the less fortunate and quell the dangers of the unknown, not for conquest, but for peace and tranquility. He has a soft spot for children, specifically orphans that have lost their parents in battle and are in need of protection and hope.
Character 2:
Vorkur Quillsharpener
Forest Gnome Wizard (School of Illusion)
I was a private tutor and wizard for a minor noble family before they were disgraced and I lost my employment, they were good people and definitely didn't deserve their fate (due to clan blood feud and political rivalries). Now I go out on quests to earn myself some renown and get back into the courts. I'm a sucker for a good library, but even more for a good intellectual conversation. I was a child of moderate upbringing with a healthy obsession for learning. I studied with the elves and humans and grew up working with librarians with connections to further knowledge, after my education I began a long career as a private tutor and advisor to those who would pay for my services and encourage my studies. I was a private tutor and wizard for clam Strongsword before they were disgraced and I lost my employment, they were good people and definitely didn't deserve their fate (due to clan blood feud and political rivalries).
Hey, everyone, thank you for applying to play in my game. The new player has been chosen by the group and a PM was sent to them. I'm sorry I couldn't fit more people into the party; all your characters looked awesome! Thank you for taking the time to apply!
