Eerie's eyes lighten as she hears them speak of the sword and she perks up, gathers some hidden energy and bounds quickly back to the guard. "Um kind sir, perhaps you could help me? We seek a sword of a particular nature. It may be found here. Are there any rumors of magnificent swords around here that we could seek out once we've found our rest?" She glances at the others, eager for rest and calls back to them, "Need not wait for me, I'll catch up!" then looks hopefully back to the guard. "I might find the information valuable should it prove true?"

If the guard seems to show any positive response to the idea of a sword (not at a smith's or traders), she elaborates with some of what she knows of it. (I'm terrible at recollecting now, but my character would surely). As she speaks with him, she casually glances for any injuries she may aid him with as part of her offer. medicine18 or should they be worse, 6 + 4 + his HD .
As the party heads up the hill towards the caer and the inn, Eerie darts back to talk to the guard about the sword.
He seems uninjured, but appreciative of the offer of support. "Well I haven't heard of any swords, but erm..."
He looks over both his shoulders conspiratorially, then whispers "Strange goings on at the caer, but nobody really likes to talk about it. If you head there, have your wits about you"
Hearing the information, Max sighs that there are more steps to go, but he thinks of how nice it will be to warm and follows Eerie up the hill.
