(RAW say it takes an action to eat one berry; I'm happy to allow four at once because, well, who eats one berry at a time? If there are any enemy left when your turn comes around, I will process the magic stone attack(s) on your next go).
The gnomeproduces a handful of berries and consumes them in a flash, visibly regaining the damage lost to the creature's strike.
Illburnya'sstoic display of wizardry belies its effect - a spectacular glowing orb of red hot energy streaks directly into the centre mass of Enemy 3 (southernmost) and it disappears in a flash of cinders and screams.

(Hadn't noticed the one berry = 1 action before, but I do see it. I will respect it for future. I appreciate the exception. I will stick to one pebble at a time too if that's preferred, just taking a chance if they were close enough that it might work - but it is a cantrip)
As a Gnome/Druid - does she have any idea what these things are? Rolled Nature15 and Arcana24 as I'm not sure which if either applies in this case.
The one remaining enemy begins to cower in a twig type of way now he’s on his own :).
Guardian in a fluid motion calls the power of his celestial agent in a He-Man/power of Greyskull type of way in the hope of dispatching the last enemy.
13's impressive swing destroys the cowering twig creature.
All enemies are now dead; the group can introduce themselves to the new arrival and vice versa.
(@Jynne you struggle to identify the creatures or their tree/plant type. They do appear to be sentient beings, not constructs or elementals, and none of your druidic teachings have referenced such creatures).

Hey there everybody!
My goodness what a team we make! My names Notian, Oh these, Yes, Yes they are Bagpipes, I'm sorry.. you want me to bust out a Bagpipe solo? No I really must.. Oh ok... As you're insisting but just this once, I do normally charge quite a lot of money for a performance.
20 Bagpipes solo in the style of the Final Fantasy battle win noise...
Thank you, Thank you, you're a fantastic audience, much better than the last audience and so much more attractive.
Hey, I am Illburnya and yes the name does rather suit my style of attack. I'm pretty new to this Wizarding lark, but im sure it'll get better as time goes by.
Nice to have gnome amongst us, the more the merrier methinks alliteraly speaking! 🧙♂️
My 12 predecessors are long gone. Their fates were always in the hands of our maker, and I do not wish to follow the same path.
I am gradually breaking my bindings, but I have been looking for ways to speed up this process and to help make the change permanent, and finally be rid of the haunting dreams that are a constant in my mind.
"Are you well little gnome? And what brought you to your confrontation with these twiggy creatures? I hope we were of assistance?"

Hello! My name is Eerie and I'm not sure how I got the name, but I do tend to have a habit of showing up in the oddest of places as I have the curiosity of a cat. Its a gift..and a curse. But thank you for your timely appearance, I'm afraid it got the best of me...again (she adds and looks thoughtful a moment) Marvelous looking creatures those are, I've never seen the like and my parents were druids. I wasn't expecting them to be so aggressive though. It seems I owe you my life, Berry? She presents another few berries (the remainder of the Goodberries)
Excellent music by the way Notian, and catchy tunes! Truly inspiring! Ah, Illburnya - I see what you did there! (and now I see the trick with your own name :) My fires tend to be more illusionary, as a gnome I do tend to do that a lot, by the way. 13, is it? I haven't ever seen one like you. If I may, are you a magical creature? I have so many questions now, but for later - if you're willing. I mean if you'll let me join you all? I was on my way to town to see what I could find out about an apple and although you seem to be going the other way, maybe you could tell me?
If you don't mind I'd like to look at these things a little more... she wanders over the creatures and checks them out trying to learn as much as possible investigation16 but conversing aloud as she does so trying to multitask as she investigates.
(Although she says all this quickly and addresses the appropriate people, she grows quickly quiet when someone else speaks so as not to annoy. She's not always like this - just excited by discovering the new creatures )
(Edited as I missed 13's post, need to refresh more)
13 tilts his head to one side as he listens to Eerie. He looms over her, and whilst he may look menacing, he is more curious than aggressive.
"Well met Eerie. I do not have the knowledge to be able to tell you much about what I am, but as far as I know, I am a construct made of wood and metal. And magic has imbued me with life. I know little about how I have come to be but I am hoping that I can discover more. I was built to fight, serve, kill, follow my masters orders. But something changed recently and I have been released some of my own free will."
"I do not eat or drink, so your berry would be wasted on me. Save it for yourself, you may need it. It seems that we all now have a common goal as we were on our way to to the Sunless Citadel, which is the origin of this apple. The Mayor of Oakhurst has asked us to investigate and you can join us if you wish?"
He turns to the rest of the group, particularly paying attention to Illburnya and Notion. "Burning enemies is good. Music whilst fighting is new to me."
13 then spends some time cleaning and sharpening his greatsword blade, and collecting his javelin. He then takes a small piece of a twig creature and stashes it in his pack.
I greet you well gnome, I am Guardian. A peace loving Aasimar paladin guided by my celestial agent. I am seeking truth and justice in this world.
My visions have brought me to this place and I am intrigued by this magical apple that others have also heard about. I truly hope that I can help others to benefit from the magical powers this Apple possesses.
My celestial agent has intimated that the intentions of all towards this magical item may not be pure. I pray to Mount Celestia my divine wrath is not required, but should the need arise I will not hesitate!
(I assume that intros are done and everyone is ready to head on towards the citadel? I will move us along, but please post any further dialogue that you wish to hold between characters, or any actions you wish your characters to take before leaving/on the way)
You carry on the rest of the seven-mile journey to where the Mayor indicated that you would find the citadel. The road that you are travelling on passes to the east of a narrow ravine. At the road’s closest approach to the cleft, several broken pillars jut from the earth where the ravine widens. Two of the pillars stand straight, but most lean atop sloped earth. Others are broken, and several have apparently fallen into the dark depths. A few similar pillars are visible on the opposite side of the ravine.
A sturdy, knotted rope is tied to one of the leaning pillars on this side of the ravine.
(Everyone make a Survival or Investigation check, your choice. Then let me know how you want to proceed)

Eerie seems delighted by noticing the retrieval of the piece of the twig creature and takes a few samples herself, poking around to see if she can determine how they see or hear. She pockets any declined berries (and will assume that's all she has left until recasting as good for 24 hrs).
She looks over to Guardian. I agree, this magical apple should be nurtured and its source discovered to protect and support it. I wish only to study it, not to possess it. Thank you for letting me join you all and looks briefly for any objection from the others. The music is inspiring Notian and I hope to hear more - there is something about it.
She stands upright (though still very short at two and a half feet) and smiles upward at the magnificent 13, pats herself over briefly, then says, "Well, I seem to have all my parts (she grins) thanks to you all. I can do a little healing and natural magics as well as a talent for illusion, so hope I will be a welcome addition. This Citadel is that way then?" gesturing in the direction the creatures came from.
Edited for ravine...
She'll follow along in the middle of the group if reasonable and be looking about the group to the surrounding scenery, trying to spot anything of interest. investigation4, "I'm likely the lightest of the group if you'd like me to test my weight on that rope?" She offers.
The area in and around the pillars has hosted many small campfires, some as recent as a month ago. Someone went to some effort to hide the evidence of the camps from casual scrutiny.
"Oh, look! There, a bit of charcoal from a fire - ah, a lot of them look here..." she wanders over to a patch of ground and pokes with a stick to reveal evidence of an old campfire. "Maybe weeks ago, but they're all over." She points at a couple more spots. She scoops up a couple of pieces of the charcoal left from the fires and some other tiny bits into pockets then goes over to Illburnya and hands them a few as well - "As your preference leans towards fires, you'll likely need some of these for your spells. Someone went to a great deal of trouble trying to hide these, I wonder if we're close?"
I look at Eerie, then down to my stomach and back and her again.
"You may be right, I do seem to have put on a little bit of weight over the last few weeks, but The Midwife in the Orpanange always said it was because I had "Heavy bones".

13 steps closer to the ravine to study the pillar and rope.
DM: Can I check if the rope is hanging into the ravine or is it attached to a pillar on the other side? What is the distance across? Assume there is no way around? And if possible can I test the strength of the rope by pulling on it
@13: You agree with Eerie'sappraisal of the environment. You also notice graffiti on some of the pillars, and Illburnyaidentifies it as being in the Dwarvish alphabet; however, it is not written in any language known by group members.
(The rope descends into the ravine, it seems from a firm tug that it will take your weight and can't have been in place for more than a couple of weeks. The ravine is 40ft wide here, normally around 30ft wide, and extends for some distance in both directions).
(Sorry everyone, I completely forgot to award XP for the twig creatures. Please add 40xp to your character sheet, and congratulations on your first victory!)
