Changes for November 16th, 2017

November 16th, 2017

Today's updates include a few bug fixes, mostly centered around homebrew.

Additions:
  • The homebrew spell form will now allow you to select subclasses that spell will be available to. More details below.
Fixes:
  • Fixed an issue with the Add to Collection button occasionally throwing an error when attempting to add your own homebrew creation to your collection.
  • Any homebrew spell created and associated with the Wizard spell list will now be available to the Rogue's Arcane Tricker and Fighter's Eldritch Knight subclasses. This applies to spells already created as well.
Notes:

As stated above, you can now associate your homebrew spells with subclasses as well as base classes. Furthermore, when you start from a spell template, you'll see that the spell will include not only the classes it's available to, but if it exists in an expanded spell list, it will also show up.

For example, copying Black Tentacles will include the Wizard, and it will now also show the Warlock's Great Old One subclass. Depending on the subclass, you will have the spell available to choose in your expanded spell list (as will be the case with any Warlock patron), or show up "Always Prepared" as if they are a Circle, Domain, or Oath spell (if you select one of those subclasses). As always, the spell will only appear if it's in your collection.

Finally, your current and future homebrew spells that you've created to be in a Wizard spell list will also appear in your Arcane Trickster and Eldritch Knight spell lists. If you want your homebrew spell to appear for your character of those subclasses, be sure to confirm that the spell is in the Wizard spell list.
