Can we have a button that shows we are a "DM" when we post/look at profiles? When I have my players sign up for this and other players too they don't know that my I am a DM based on my profile. I also don't like how players can see things only a DM should see. If there were a feature where you can sign up as a DM I would appreciate it! Below is a poll if you agree with me.
I think we should be working to remove the perceived barriers between "I am a player" and "I am a DM", not adding to or reinforcing them with things like special labeling for DMs - that just gives people even more reason to believe the falsity that you are either one, or the other, and you aren't supposed to be both (which is what saying things like "things only a DM should see" is saying - that if you are a DM and have seen those things, you shouldn't be a player, because players shouldn't see those things).
And while I agree that there are things which players won't want to see because it will ruin the fun of an adventure of them (like reading the adventure they are going to be playing through), I absolutely disagree that any part of the game other than "what happens next?" should be off-limits to players - knowing the rules of the game is not an undesirable trait in a player.
Like Aaron of Barbaria said "(like reading the adventure they are going to be playing through)" That is an issue for me. @Tophloph
In my experience, the only solution for that issue that actually works is to play with players that don't want to spoil the adventure for themselves.
All other means of trying to prevent someone reading an adventure are either so easily bypassed as to not have any practical function (example: a player can just click the "I'm a DM" button and read away, just pop into a book store and take a quick read, etc.) or would be aggravating to DMs having to constantly prove they are really allowed to read whatever they want to (example: having to enter some kind of specific pass code, going through some sort of registration process, etc.) - and either way, still leaves people who are DMs but also get to play a character with someone else DMing able to read stuff they aren't "supposed to" if they don't do as everyone is fully capable of doing and stop themselves.

What can players see that only a DM should see?
