I'm not sure that the hit point calculation is correctly implemented. After 1st level, the constitution bonus is only counted once toward your hit points (as far as I can tell); however, according to the rules, the con bonus should be added for every level.
Otherwise, very slick product. Thanks for the hard work!
EDIT: Never mind. I see now that when you set the hit points, you only put in the rolled values. The con bonus is added automatically later.
When everything officially launches, will we be able to customize our characters more even if it does not follow the normal character rules? For instance, my DM allows me as a half elf to substitute a feat for the ability increases at 1st level but there is no way to currently do that.
That would probably require a homebrew race, which you should be able to create on launch.
True. I just think it might be easier at the end to allow all areas to be added/edited regardless of the logic for that race/class. That way you can simplify the sheet if it's just one minor change. We'll see how it looks upon completion!
I'm trying to create my AL legal character here and ran into the following problems:
1. in the Fighter class, there was only 1 Martial Archetype available (Champion)
2. I'm taking Feats instead of ASI, only 2 feats were populated in the dropdown: Snerfeblin Magic and something else ...can't remember what)
otherwise, I think you all are doing great work!
cant wait for the release!!!

For the beta, only the rules and options provided in the D&D 5th edition SRD , D&D 5th edition Basic Rules, Elemental Evil Companion are available in Beyond. Once the full platform launches later this summer, the core rule books and others will be available for purchase, and the content within will be available for those that purchase, or have access through a DM's subscription.
On a character sheet for Hunter Ranger 4/Cleric 1, I put scale armour and a shield equipped. My fighting style is Defense. My AC is erroneously listed as 18, 14(scale armor base)+2(dex)+2(shield)=18, It should include an additional +1(Fighting Style). I have the class feature chosen and specified as Defense, but it is not correctly interacting with the auto-calculated AC field.

Hi LazyMinerva,
thanks for taking the time to let us know!
Fighting styles don't currently add their bonuses to the character sheet - this is a known issue and is being worked on.

Yes all the fighting styles are not implemented. Devs are looking into it.

Okay, thanks for the response! I figured it was likely that the issue was known, but I wanted to be sure it was not some specific issue with the character options chosen instead of a broad issue with the style. (That's why I listed the armor type classes and that the shield was equipped.)
While I have you here, will there be any way to verify ownership of a physical rule book to unlock the content in Beyond, or will we need to separately purchase all of them?

Thanks again for the prompt reaponse!
We will need to purchase them, although pricing is not announced yet.
So far all of this is really awesome but I've noticed an issue:
I'm trying to replicate my Cleric but it only let's me choose Life as a Divine Domain. Tempest, Nature, Trickery and all the others are missing.

I agree wholeheartedly with the idea that, as a DM/player, we should always have the option in EVERY instance to override any rules restrictions for calculations or selections when desired. I hope this is possible!
1. It would be nice to be able to automatically add a character's starting equipment instead of manualy having to do so.
2. It would be cool if we could pick our proficiencies/languages after we have chosen both a class and background.
3. I find the modal dialog that comes up often to be quite small for my desktop. It would be nice if it was dynamic and resized for large screens.
4. When selecting a Background, it would be cool if it let you auto-generate your bonds/flaws/ideals from the background. Basically, give you a background first, and then let you either a) get random traits, b) pick from recommended traits, or c) write your own traits.
I am enjoying the character builder and wanted to share some kinks I have noticed. I apologize if they have been mentioned already.
1. When adding equipment from the manage equipment menu without using the search functionality, the list goes back a few screens (the Load More screens specifically). It would be nice if it retained the current screen when adding new equipment so you can continue alphabetically.
2. Some of the items available are not listed as consumables (ex. Potion of Frost Giant Strength) and therefore do not appear in the limited use section of the character sheet.
3. Currency can be such a common thing in the game, it is a shame it has been reduced to an extended menu option instead of having it's own permanent tab in the equipment section.
4. Spells with DC saves are not listed in the Spell Attacks section (ex. Fire Ball).
5. Ritual spells should be included somehow as they are available at all times, assuming you have the ability and time to ritually cast them.
As a new player, this website is an amazing help. Thanks so much. Here's what I'm finding so far, apologies if any of this has been listed previously (I don't have time to go through 52 pages of posts).
1. When creating a new character, if I decide to to change the race, I can. If I decide to change the class, I cannot. Once I've selected a class, it seems to be locked in. At that point, I have to start a new character to implement the changes I want.
2. Not a bug, but was confusing to me: The HP management shows your cumulative CON bonus. It'd be nice if it also noted in parenthesis the per level bonus. It took me an embarrassingly long time to figure out why it listed my level 3 character with a +2 CON was receiving a +6 bonus.
3. I don't seem to be able to add coin until my character is complete. It'd be nice to do this on the initial equipment management screen.
4. When using the equipment manager, it'd also be nice to have a "purchase" button. Clicking it would add the item and subtract appropriate funds.
5. A fighter's Dueling (fighting style bonus) doesn't seem to be added to a weapon's damage. Example: A longsword (1d8) with 16 STR (+3) and Dueling (+2) should presumably be 1d8+5, but I'm only seeing it as 1d8+3
I am loving everything about these phases guys! I have made two characters as practice so far, and the only thing I see not working is some of the equipment not adding correctly. I went to give my monk 10 darts, but they never got put into the inventory. I tried several times and it continued not to work.

Great observations and suggestions. I like them all.

1. Can't remove classes at this point, will be added.
3. You can add it before you finish with your character. In the builder, click "more" while on the equipment tab. There will be a spot to select currency and then add it.
4. Only issue with this, bartering and varying prices depending on how DMs choose to do shops.
5. Fighting style and such bonuses are known not to be added. Will be fixed.
In choosing the backgrounds, there is no "Guild Artisan" background. Which is VERY important to the character I play. I want to use the app when I am in the sessions but I have to refer to my actual sheet for my checks. Is there any time frame for adding new backgrounds?

It was a Handaxe.
Fighter can start with 2, and I added the first without changing quantity to 2 by accident.
