She then pulls everyone away from the thugs. "So I'm fairly sure they're telling the truth. What do we want to do with them though? They say they can identify this man but I still don't trust that they'll continue this honesty. Also..." She pauses uncomfortably. "What about the two others that are.. um.. dead. How are we gonna deal with that?"

"Not to mention, he mentioned moving people they roughed up. As if there's someplace that needs to be kept hidden, yes? Shall I ask?" Darion stands ready to address the thugs once more.
A crazy idea enters Socarin's mind after Darion's suggestion. "What if we can talk or charm them into taking us to their handler. We can pretend to be knocked out. The rest of us can follow behind."
Darion blinked once. Then he blinked again. He shifted his weight from side to side, ever so slightly. "Uh... If we go through with this plan, I'd like to opt out of being knocked out, if that's okay with everyone." For once, his confident aura is absent, making him seem very ordinary. Sure, very rich and overburdened with magic items, but average in all other aspects. Almost... Afraid, even?
Socarin's plan seems like a fairly good one but she notices Darion's apprehension.
"Well we won't actually be unconcious we would just be acting that way. Though if you'd rather not, Darion, then we can just turn them into the guards." She smiles at him. "We all have to be in one mindset if we want to get this done! I think we should at least inquire a bit more about this skyhill though. We also might want to learn more about this place they're guarding."
Gary was silent while the rest of the party was interrogating the thugs, but he says when everyone steps off to the side, "I'm not sure that pretending to be prisoners or unconscious is in our best interests. For one, we do not yet know what this Skyhill does with those taken away, nor how many they number. We may be overwhelmed and meet the same fate as the ones before us. Furthermore, these thugs are likely aware that double-crossing the Skyhill will probably get them killed, so they may attempt to betray us. If we wish to infiltrate this Skyhill, it may be best to either find their location on our own and storm it while they are unaware, or to pretend that we seek to join them and lay low while collecting information for the guard or the King should this cult be of more than middling concern."
"Both methods have their upsides and downsides, but I think they are each better than possibly walking into a massive trap unawares. That said, if you are set with that method, it also has the potential for a very strong element of surprise. In other words, it is a gamble; it could work out amazingly for us or it could work out terribly. The other two methods I detailed are less risky in some respects but have less of a payout, so to speak."
Seeing his chance to deviate from what he assumed would be a painful outcome, Darion hastily agreed, saying: "If we can get more info on this 'Skyhill' organization, perhaps we could catch them in a legal bind and set the guards on them, in addition to ourselves."
Not completely surprised the team didn't like the idea but disappointed nether the less, Socarin puts a smile on his face and gives a thumbs up, indicating that he is happy with the direction of the party's decision.
Pulling out a bolt and twisting it in his fingers, Socarin listened in to find out what the next plan of action is.
Bel thumbs her necklaces a bit and begins to think.
"I think that we should wait to involve the guards in the skyhill thing. We have no idea where the information might go and it could alert this skyhill to our investigation into it. For now we should just find out all we can from these guys so that we can go deeper into our own investigation and we'll hand over these guys to the guards saying they attacked us." She pauses for a moment.
"If we need to I can charm them into not telling the guards anything about skyhill for now, though we might be able to just give them to the guards without much worry about that. They seemed more scared of us than the guards considering they were already doing this in broad daylight and might not even say anything about it." She then looks to everyone else and smiles. "Sound like a good plan?"

Darion agrees, saying, "Miss Bel, you wouldn't even need magic to charm these men. Besides," he casually tossed a dagger into the wall behind him, striking above the men's heads. "I'd have to agree with the indimidation part." Darion fancied himself far more indimidating than his stature suggested.
Gary says "I agree that telling the guard about this Skyhill is likely not in our best interests. Ideally, we could uncover a lot of information about them before they find out that we are on to them. I am not very good with talking to people so I will leave that to you all."
Gary turns to Darion and whispers to him while looking rather unimpressed "You may want to grab that dagger before it falls down on top of them."
Socarin puts the bolt away and turns to Darion, "Nice throw but I think you missed."
"Bel, I think the good girl, bad guy routine was working well. If we can get the location of the drop then we have some where to scout."
Looking around, Socarin adds, "It maybe just nerves but I am not sure we should hang around here much longer. The run away goon may come back with backup."
Darion turned around to see the dagger holding on by a point. "Oh dear. Pardon me, gentlemen," he said, stepping over their prisoners to retrieve his dagger. He flashed them a polite grin as he returned to the group. Growing more serious, he said, "I agree with Socarin. We need a secure location. One where we can get questions out without being interrupted."
Gary says "I agree. This alleyway would not offer enough advanced notice of an ambush should the other thug return with reinforcements. I agree that we should move to a more secure location. The issue is, I don't know where that may be. Perhaps we can go halfway down an alleyway. Would let us see people coming from either direction and give us a way to run should we need to escape. Shall we head on then?"
I agree with you Gary, it is most definitely moot to relocate to somewhere more secure. Your idea of an alternate alley, might do temporarily, for speed and necessity.
"I mean we have a good place here I think. Maybe we should have you and Socarin watch the enterances to this nook and make sure no one's comming. I'd rather not waste anymore time though. As you pointed out," She looks to Gary, "that one guy might bring backup so might as well get on with this."
She then turns and walks over to the bound thugs and sits down so that she's at eye level with them. "So here's what's going to happen. You guys are going to tell us all that you know about Skyhill then we will let you out of our care. Trust me when I say that telling us what we want to know is in your best interests."
"I've been telling you everything I know already, but I figured you might as well need to hear this. In this part of town - hell, the whole state, there is a legend of an unamed fiend. This fiend supposedly is on a mission from Hell to infiltrate human lands. They say it is a creepy pillar of flesh with over 10 skeletal needle-tipped hands adjoined to it. But thats not the worst part - some say it is covered in a black cloak and a dark, wide-brimmed hat and wears a white glove to cover its horrid hands. The worst thing is - our employer wears this kind of clothing. Please, approach him with caution - and don't tell him that we told you."
Bel sighs. "Give us one second."
She then pulls everyone away from the thugs. "So I'm fairly sure they're telling the truth. What do we want to do with them though? They say they can identify this man but I still don't trust that they'll continue this honesty. Also..." She pauses uncomfortably. "What about the two others that are.. um.. dead. Looking over to the tied up thugs, Socarin finishes his suggestion with, "We should not take them with us where ever we may go."

Mjoll agrees with Gary
Wise words Gary, I am in accord with your suggestion. We definitely need more information about Skyhill.
