You all had towards the guard post across the rope bridge. (Area 10). Valrish steps forward and with a mighty push, swings open the door to the room. True to his word, Jorlan appears to have lured away the guards. The room is unoccupied. Inside is a table made of zurkhwood, a mushroom plentiful in the underdark that grows and acts much like trees in the surface world. Beside the table are three chairs. On the table are some dice and cards, scattered about, as if a game was stopped in the middle of playing it. A smaller side table is along one wall, and there are hooks for hanging equipment. One other exit on the other side of the room leads to a rope bridge that connects to the other large stalactite (area 6). A rope ladder hangs from one area of the roof, leading up to the upper chamber.
Finally, while the others are looking for valuables, I'm looking for hidden stacks or hidden containers. Investigation 19 or (not sure which one) Perception 9
edit: ahah sorry didn't see there was a rope ladder, I climb there then, listen through the door Perception 15
(OOC) How do you make word in colours and linked to their information (like "Investigation" from the last post of Matthias) ?
At the top of the ladder there is no door, just an opening to the armory above. It is also unoccupied, and a quick inventory shows it contains the following items:
You do not find any of your personal effects, as all of this looks like standard issue for the drow guards. Your items must be stored elsewhere. You find no food, and nothing else hidden.
(OOC If you all want to choose items, and take them, just list for me what you take. Then be sure to add that stuff to your character sheets, and equip the stuff you can. You can then either choose what to give to which NPCs, or I can take whatever is left over and give it to who would use it best. Also, if you haven't already, be sure to unequip anything you got at character creation.)
Then turning toward the rest of the group. “I would really like to get my belonging, but I don’t think it’s wise to push on at this level. I would recommend jumping from here, no ?”
"hum true, I just realised you were a magician ! How would you suggest to continue ?
I think it's best to push on with limited person. If 15 persons moves, it's not going to be very sneaky... I don't know where they all are, but we have no chance if someone raise the alarm... Maybe the 4 of us ?" Pointing the closest persons to himself; Oorr, Valrish and Belwar.
(OOC I'm going to wait until the others have selected gear before continuing, in the mean time, you can keep discussing how best to proceed, and how to split the party. Also, I just realized three of you don't wear armor really, which is intriguing.)
Eldeth calls up to Grimnir from below, "Oy, 'ave they got any shields or weapons up there? I can show ye how the shieldmaidens of Gauntlygym take care of problems."
Ront pushes past Eldeth and climbs up into the armory, "Out of the way, dwarf. We're wasting time!" He picks up a chain shirt, and a short sword. The shirt is sized for a drow, but somehow he makes it work, providing a little more protection. He swings the sword a few times, then grunts in satisfaction.
Shuushaar comments, "Is fighting necessary? Perhaps we can just leave. I'm afraid in my enlightened state, I cannot raise arms, even against my captors."
In the course of a few minutes, several of the other prisoners arm themselves with what's available. Topsy in particular grabs a pair of daggers, with a grim, determined look on her face.
Jimjar checks out some of the leather to see if it will fit him. He notices Grimnir and the others looking for more beyond the normal armor. "I'll bet you 10 gold Ilvara has your personal items stashed away close to her. She'd want the more valuable things kept away from the regular guards."
Bupiddo nods at Belwar, "Best if we don't go tromping around together, that's for sure. We'll probably make it past the web, the giant spiders, and the 80 foot fall down into gray water." he puts a heavy emphasis on the word probably.
Derendil glances out the window of the armory, overlooking the cavern. "You can't expect me to really jump down into... that. How dreadful."
Sarith spins a dagger in his hand. "Yes, we do expect you to jump, we must all do so if we have any chance to escape. If a few of you want to poke around and see what you can find, do as you will, but I'm taking Stool and leaving."
Stool hops around impatiently, "Can we go home now?"
Oorr takes the following: 1 studded leather armor, 1 hand crossbow, 2 cases of bolts (40 bolts), 2 shortswords, 4 daggers.
OOG Updating in the character sheet.
Then with low voice at Grimnir: " Maybe it is good to take one of them with us. They know the Underdark better then any of us...I say we take the Myconid, seem the most reasonable one..."
Eldeth frowns at Oorr. "If yer goin te be looking fer yer personals, then it'll be dangerous, especially for the wee sprout," she glances over to Stool. "I'll look after him, and you can meet up with us in the caverns below once ye finish yer business with the drow. Certain none of us should be traveling alone." She glances around at the rest of the prisoners as they nod their heads. Even Ront grunts in agreement.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Oorr to eldeth and the rest of the group:" I say we go to the lift as soon as we can. No reason to exploring needlessly."Oorr scout a bit ahead, to the next stalactite.
Oorr, as you go to the door that leads to the rope ladder to the other stalactite (area 6-8), you notice the two drow guards are making their way back across the bridge.
You hear one of them loudly complaining as they approach. "When I get my hands on Jorlan, I'm going to ring his neck. Ashara didn't want to see us; she barely even acknowledged us! He's up to something. Ever since Shoor gained favor with Ilvara. I tell.... wait, do you smell that, like something burning?" Both guards turn to look towards the guard house you are occupying.
Back in the guard room, the bonfire has gone out, but the table is still smoldering and burnt.
The guards start rushing towards you, but just before they get to the door, you hear an inhuman shriek ring out across the cavern. The guards halt, turning their faces up towards the sound, just as two large vulture like creatures swoop past the bridge, emitting the shrieks.
The two guards sway, and catch their balance. "What in Lloth's name?" curses one of the guards. Moments later, a buzzing sound grows louder and louder as four other creatures who appear as large flies with pointed probosces give chase to the first two creatures, darting in even closer to the bridge.
One of the guards loses his balance, falling off the bridge into the web below. "Balok!" shouts the remaining guard, as he watches his friend plummet. An alarm goes up across the prison camp. "Demons! Defend the outpost!" is heard being yelled in the distance. The last guard turns and runs back the other way, towards the alarm.
Jimjar pipes up, "I'll bet you 5 gold, that's not quite the distraction that our friend Jorlan had in mind. But it works in our favor. You won't have a better cover for looking for your gear. I'll help with this lot." He starts gathering the others, moves out to the rope bridge, and prepares to make the jump into the webbing. Eldeth begins to helps as well. "I'll bet another 5 gold those spiders will be so busy with the drow that fell, they won't even notice us!" says Jimjar, as he hops the rope and off the bridge into the darkness below.
(OOC The demons appear to be chasing each other around the ceiling of the cavern. You can see the drow gathering over near the other guard posts (area 4) to fend off any attacks. The only exit is over the rope bridge, towards area 6-8. Valrish can still pick up whatever supplies he wants. I've given weapons and armor to some of the NPCs as well. If you want any of the NPCs to remain with you, let me know, or play it out.)

Before I leave, I'll cast create bonfire on the table. In the meantime, Investigation to see if I find anything valuable. 21

Tooltips (Help/aid)
There is nothing of value in the guard room. The only items were the game on the table which is now slowly catching fire.
I'm looking through the items; if possible I will take a dagger and a quarterstaff. Any bag containing Rations (1 day) and Waterskin ?
Most importantly, I'm looking for my flasks of alcohol and Herbalism Kit.
Finally, while the others are looking for valuables, I'm looking for hidden stacks or hidden containers.
