The new UA subclass for Barbarians is also an option, Barbarian: Path of the Beast. You get the option to gain a bite attack when you rage that gives you HP equal to your Constitution modifier on hit, once per turn. Plus Barbarians have a larger hit die meaning they're going to have more HP on average and gain resistance to Bludgeoning/Piercing/Slashing damage while raging should give a pretty solid drain tank character.
I've always love playing characters that get temp hp or hp on hit or kill in games. Would there be a good way to make one in 5e?
The easiest class would probably be a Battlerager Barbarian from the Sword Coast Adventurers Guide.
From level 6 on they get temp HP equal to their conatitution modifier for every reckless attack.
The Fiend Warlock also gets HP, whenever he kills someone. Death and Grave Clerics both get Vampiric Touch as Domain Spell at level 5.
