Barring any delays, I hope we should see announcements for Phase II any day now.
What will be the first character class you try out the new character builder? I'm thinking Wizard!

Roll the dice and play the game, I’m not here to listen to your politics.
“But this isn’t right. You’re meant to charge in, sword drawn, banner flying-that’s what all the other knights did!” “Yeah, right before they burst into flame.”
Ranger probably. Just started playing D&D 2 weeks ago and my first character is a Wood Elf Ranger, gonna try to create them using D&D Beyond as much as I can (We're using the Player's Handbook so some stuff will be missing)

I love Wood Elf rangers! My very first D&D character was a poorly-constructed Wood Elf ranger, and I'm playing a much better-constructed one in one of my campaigns.

I'm only lvl 3 so far, but I'm really liking some of the choices I made. I"ve got Cure Wounds, Ensnaring Strike, and Hail of Thorns as my spells at the moment with an Archery fighting style and Hunter archetype and I just got Horde Breaker during our last session.

No hunter's mark? The way I see it, Horde Breaker is just a weaker version of your 11th-level Hunter feature, but other than those, mine's effectively the same, except that I'm 4th level.

The campaign we've been playing has been very dungeon heavy so far (as far as I can tell at least since this is my first time playing) so the enemies have been in tight formations often (hence hail of thorns) and we've been losing a lot of HP (hence cure wounds). I'm probably going to add it as my 4th lvl 1 spell once I hit lvl 5 though. I wanted to focus on keeping us from getting damaged (which ensnaring strike has been awesome for) and damaging as many enemies in one go as I can. I had one use of hail of thorns that damaged 5 orcs in one go, so it's been very effective so far

I'm likely going to try out cleric, because i love a good cleric. Though I'll likely hop into something one of my PC's are, so one of monk, barbarian, rogue, wizard, bard, or druid (no idea how many they will let us play with in beta, I'm not sure if it will be the same as when it is live, or just 1).
Oh man I hope this gets online soon. My work mates convinced me to run a campaign for them and the total player experience level is exactly none... The builder would help....
I'm probably gonna build my illusionist for an upcoming adventure :3 but I'm definitely open to experimenting with this new character sheet. A LOT.
it looks so much better than Myth-Weavers :P

I'm not - nor was I ever - your "obstacle" until you've deemed me as such, nor am I your wallet, my hard earnt money is not yours by deault.
Je suis Consumer - We are the foundation, the floor beneath your rug. our support is the fate of every retail product, business, and franchise. for success you need support.
I will always miss what you were, but I will never miss what you've become.
It will likely only be 5e SRD content. So no additional books beyond the core three and those books will be blotchy. Stuff like only the grappler feat and several missing Sub-Classes. So I'm not that excited

I think I'll do a Warlock, I hope they add in all the unearthed options.
I'm going to make my tried and true Dwarf Paladin. Love that guy.
