Stone Camouflage. The grick has advantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks made to hide in rocky terrain.
Actions
Multiattack. The grick makes one attack with its tentacles. If that attack hits, the grick can make one beak attack against the same target.
Tentacles. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 9 (2d6 + 2) slashing damage.
Beak. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 5 (1d6 + 2) piercing damage.
Description
This wormlike monstrosity blends in with the rock of the caverns it haunts. When prey comes near, its barbed tentacles unfurl to reveal its hungry, snapping beak.
Yes, if none provided, but lots of monsters don't actually use that formula for their grapple attacks, so if you're going to add one to a grick 13 or 14 is about right. Giant octopus is 16, crocodile is 12, regular constrictor snake with strength 15 is DC 14.
How do they reproduce? Asking to annoy my dm.
I homebrewed a grick that does exactly that. Also modified it so its beak is laced with deadly poison, and tentacle barbs coated with acid. To ensure that no character is safe, I added a spitting attack to the monster, because it burned me that this monster had no ranged attacks.
This was years ago but for anyone running LMoP with a bigger party might I suggest the Grick Alpha
