I'm trying to figure out how the mentioning of "arcane firearm" is implemented in the DnDbeyond character sheet. It mentions being able to turn a wand/staff/rod after a long rest in an arcane firearm for added damage on artificer spells. I can not for the life of me figure out how to enable this in the character sheet.
I can infuse items
I can infuse wands with enchanted arcane focus for +1 hit
I can not find the option to turn a non magical or magical wand into an "arcane firearm" and visibly seeing the damage modifiers change.
Is this something I need to remember myself? Can I do this with a enchanced arcane focus as my wand?
Am I reading the text incorrectly?
Thanks for anyone trying to help out. Hopefully the description is clear (english not my first language)
There's currently no support for Arcane Firearm. Seems it's still on the to-do list. There's quite a few things from Eberron that are work in process for the character sheets.
I custom make the item in my inventory listing it. "Enhanced Rod" (well Enhanced Cane Rod" for me since he uses his rod as a cane). Then in my various auto attack calcluations I add the extra +1 myself.
say firebolt? click on the spell in dndbeyond and you can "custom" and add the +1 and add a note about the cover
Actually I just discovered that when you use the beyond20 plugin you can have it add the modifier automatically when using another VTT. Works well. The setting is only available if you change it while on the artificer character sheet.
Its over 5 years on since the OP post - but have also been looking at this - thought I would share my findings and workaround as It doesn't appear that this has been implemented in the DnD Beyond character sheet yet.
Here's what I've done:
1. Added a wand to my inventory
2. Added the "Enhanced Arcane Focus" infusion to the wand
3. Equipped the wand with the infusion and attuned to it, this then adds the +1 bonus to spell attacks automatically to all spells that use a spell attack role. Its great that this is done automatically
4. In the description for "Arcane Firearm" under "Features & Traits", when you click into customisation, there is a check box to "add it as an attack"...you can do this, and it adds it to bottom of the attacks list under "Other". I also add a custom note saying "+1d8 damage to all spells"...just as a reminder
5. The final thing I do is to add a custom note to all spells that cause damage (doesn't have to be one with a spell attack role) that says "+1d8 damage from Arcane Firearm". That way, there is another reminder against all relevant spells
Its clearly not perfect - but given the way in which the d8 is added is complex/not straightforward then at least it helps flag a reminder to you where its relevant.

Any updates on this? Do you know if this is possible now?
Nope
Find your own truth, choose your enemies carefully, and never deal with a dragon.
"Canon" is what's factual to D&D lore. "Cannon" is what you're going to be shot with if you keep getting the word wrong.

I get that this is almost a year old now, but doesn't that take away an attunement slot?
A generic wand — i.e., an arcane focus item — doesn't require attunement. Most magic wands don't either, actually.
