Need a clarification here. The description of Force Ballista option for the Eldritch Cannon feature sats the following:
"Make a ranged spell attack, originating from the cannon, at one creature or object within 120 feet of it. On a hit, the target takes 2d8 force damage, and if the target is a creature, it is pushed up to 5 feet away from the cannon."
Yet, when you view Force Ballista in your character sheet, the damage is actually 2d8+Intelligence modifier, and the attack roll takes a raw Intelligence modifier instead of Int+Proficiency, as a ranged spell attack is supposed to. It also doesn't benefit from infused spell focus.
I'm not seeing that on my character sheets. There's no bonus action attack listed for the eldritch cannon; only the flamethrower shows up. And when I scroll down to the feature, the damage is only 2d8 and I don't see a spell attack roll to click on.
Okay, I see what you're getting at now. If you click on the eldritch cannon entry and bring up the sidebar/tooltip, then the attack bonus lacks your proficiency bonus and the damage is 2d8+Int mod. That's disappointing. I tried making a custom attack with it, but I can't strip away the intelligence modifier to damage.
So that's another buggy subclass. Ignore the sidebar/tooltip for now and, if you're going to play online as an artillerist, use an independent dice bot where you can enter the values yourself.
You can actually input a negative damage bonus like "-3"(it works), and it'll show a fixed version in a custom attack. Just wanted to know if I missed some errata or something that buffed ballista's damage. Do you think I should copy it in a bug section of forum?

I tried doing that and it wouldn't let me. And I definitely think you should put it in the bug forum.

Why is that so, and which one is right?

Still a pain to use online but, now, just
1) click on Force Ballista for the description
2) click Customize*
3) Click Display As Attack
