I know it would be pretty simple (all you need to do is write it out) to create a Homebrew Artificer infusion, but can there please be a way to access a custom infusion on character sheet via Homebrew or something similar?
I can second this. I am having a lot of fun with my Artificer. My DM allowed me to infuse crossbow bolts with cantrip spells, which seemed reasonable since I can cast firebolt for 2d10 damage at 5th level. So ultimately, the trade off is very balanced. They cost me 50gp each to infuse. Since I also have the Repeating Shot infusion, two attacks per turn...if I burn two cantrip infused bolts it costs me 100GP, but I can do more versatile damage, so realistically I can only afford to use 2 per session. (Our party has only acquired about 2000gp each up to this point. I am not sure what is an average amount of treasure gain but I feel it has been realistic.)
Ward Talisman- grants a +1 bonus to defense if you are not wearing armor, must be attuned. Increased to +2 at level 11
Distracting Doll- throw this Doll out as an action and it forms into a copy of a creature you choose within 5ft. Any creature making a melee attack against the copied creature, must make a wisdom save versus the Artificer's Spell Save DC. On failure, they must target the doll, which has an AC of 14 and 1 hp. Once it looses HP, it returns to it's doll form, and cannot be used again until the next dawn. If the Doll is not reduced to 0 hp, you may return it to doll form as an action, and it is ready to be used again.
I've thought of something similar to the Returning Weapon, with the +1 to attack and damage rolls, but you can also throw the weapon at a surface up to 15 feet away from you and be drawn toward it, like a grappling hook of sorts.

Maybe let it have charges as well. If you hit a creature with the weapon, you can expand a charge to make them make a save or be grappled. Make it a real GRAPPLING hook.
eh? eh?
