Hello team! Minor quibble, I know, but the Rations (1 day) item currently has its default information recorded incorrectly. The weight is set as 20lbs instead of the correct 2lbs, and the cost is set as 5gp instead of 5sp (PHB p150). This means that characters within our campaign are spending too much money for supplies and often unfairly marked as "encumbered", which is a problem when you have a GM who actually keeps track of this sort of thing. Manually overriding the weight and price of items solves the problem within our specific campaign, but can these errors also please be properly corrected within the overall system? Thank you!
Please link to a character sheet where this problem is occurring, so we can see what's going on.
Also keep in mind that some starting Equipment Packs come with 10 daily rations. The Inventory item for that would show 20lbs and 5gp, but have a count (QTY) of 10.
After taking a look I think that's what's happening: the Rations (1 day) item appears in the equipment list as 10 qty / 20gp / 5gp. Our characters are then buying more rations by adjusting the quantity of that item, which is resulting in this issue. Are you saying that we'd need to remove this item after character creation, then add rations again individually in order to correct it? That seems a bit convoluted.
If you go to Manage Inventory, in the Filter you can type "Rations", and then you can click the Rations (1 day) and it will show you the per-item price; you can also choose a number of units to add to your Inventory (which will just add to the Qty of the existing Rations item.)
