Why does DnDBeyond not allow (Firearms) to get a stat bonus to hit and damage while Firearms does? DM allows for muskets in the game yet even being Proficient in firearms the Character will not get a dex bonus to hit using them. DM will not allow Rifles for the damage is too much yet being Proficient in firearms it will get the plus to hit from Dex. The minor difference in Firearms and (Firearms) tags are causing a lot of headache because they should be covered under the same Proficiency and get the same bonus.

One is from Partnered Content. That's the reason one tag works rather than the others.

Once made Maxwell's Silver Hammer come down upon Strahd's head to make sure he was dead.

No there is definitely a bug, I've had a longstanding character concept for a Monk with a Gun (Gunner feat at 4) and despite having Firearms as a proficiency, the sheet no longer adds the PB to the Musket (that is still flagged as Dedicated Weapon), but won't let me adjust the Dedicated Weapon setting, or add it to any other Firearms (the exception being all the Exandria Firearms)
It looks like with the transition to 2024 Weapons they're now flagged purely as Martial Weapons (because adding 1 level of Fighter gave me the proficiency bonus on the normal Firearms) and by extension, Gunner doesn't give Proficiency on the stat sheet anymore.
