I am trying to create a homebrew subclass that gives attack actions that use only dice, and no ability modifiers. I have tried putting 0 as a fixed value after inputting the dice, but that doesn't work. The attack action gives a save using the spellcasting modifier, so I used the spellcasting stat as the relevant ability.
Do you mean the "attack" would only use the proficiency bonus (or not even that)? It isn't currently possible to give any sort of action a to-hit modifier that doesn't use a stat, because nothing official does this. You could still work around this to display something non-functional, putting the relevant information in snippet codes or the like. Or manually adding a custom action to the character that provides a "bonus" cancelling out any stat it is tied to. They would just be required to manually track this with any future stat changes.
It's not ideal, but sometimes when I homebrew something that isn't possible to automate in the current system, I add a little note to the subclass feature directing the player how to make the feature functional, like so:
HOMEBREW LIMITATIONS
Due to current limitations in the homebrew builder, half proficiency is not automatically applied to these saving throws. To gain the full benefits of this feature, you may customize each appropriate Saving Throw Proficiency Level to Half Proficient directly on the character sheet.
Ah, then yes! If the attack action gives a save using the spellcasting modifier, you don't actually need to set the relevant ability to anything, it will automatically use the character's save DC. For your action, you'll only need to fill in the save type that the opponent will be using, along with the rest (damage dice/type, range, activation type, and whether to display it as an attack).
You solved his thing. i think. But mine isn't solved. I am making a homebrew action for a spell that is a one time use. The damage is 11d12, but i can't remove the +4 from the damage roll. How do i do this?

Ah, sorry, I meant the damage itself. So, for example, rather than dealing 2d6+5 damage it would deal just 2d6 damage

Edit: Typo
Thank you! That helps a lot.

One option is to use the Fixed Value box for a negative value to negate your casting mod.
This is a signature. It was a simple signature. But it has been upgraded.
