The popup is cache based, meaning if you access the character on a different browser, different device, in incognito or in-private browsing, or you clear your cache, the pop up will appear again.
Once you've dismissed it on a device or browser, it'll remain dismissed (unless you clear your cache)
Are you honestly saying its to hard to check if the character sheet is already in underdark mode and you know... not show the popup? Like that would be UX design 101...
Edit: Sorry for the snarkyness of this. To everyone who reads this, yes I was annoyed by other mechanics of there site and this is just pushing me over the edge. However, this is an example of how not to react. I can be better.
