I am currently giving Map a serious try, coming from a very mature VTT.
There are, as expected, multiple issues or lack of features. This I can work with, especially if Maps ultimately gives me an easier time showing maps to my players.
A bit of background, we play together physically and I run two instances of my VTT, one as a DM and one as a player. The Player view is shown on a TV for the group to see, and I move everything around on the DM view. The players themselves do not interact with the VTT.
One immediate concern I have is vision. How do people handle vision on Maps? I don't have a problem with having to erase FoW manually, but it is very easy to erase too much in a dungeon, e.g., where vision is very limited. Can I somehow make an aura around a character, that follows the character to visualize their range of vision.
Maps are barely playable at it's currently state, but this one thing could make or break it for me right now.
Even better would be automatic Fog of War erasing, but that is somewhat more involved I am sure.
Is there an easy way of marking a token as e.g. Dead? I know I could just remove them from the encounter, or even the map, but I'd rather leave the token and just mark it as dead.
Also: Spectator view. Can it be made to follow the DM view automatically, or do I have to move the view manually whenever the characters move?

Another thing: Conditions.
