I've been trying to create a feature for a Sorcerer subclass that gives you gives you three options automatically with their effects dependent on outlying requirements. When I create a new option, there's a check box near the bottom that asks me if I want to award this option automatically, yet when I check it the optional feature does not show up anywhere in the builder or character sheet. My workaround was to just make all three options selectable at the same level; however, this seems to have glitched the feature all together and I now can't edit parts of it or delete the bugged feature in question.
If anyone knows another simpler workaround, or might have a suggestion on how to fix the feature, it'd be greatly appreciated.
First off, I'd like to warn you that there is a known bug with homebrew subclass features with options, that I don't think has been fixed yet. The bug being, once the homebrewed class is used, you can't edit the levels that options become available anymore.
Second, it sounds like the problem is either you haven't checked the "has options" box or you haven't listed the levels where options become available (i.e. 1,1,1,5,10 puting the same level multiple times if they get more than one option at that level).
Thanks for the info about the bug. It sounds like it might be the cause of my issues as I’m using a character to check how it’s being populated when I create features.
It was once I started playing with both the level definitions and the options check box that the issue started to develop.
