I was interested in things like an Throwing glaive or an alchemy Sniper and wanted to homebrew them becouse i didnt find the type that really fit my style, but i can only do magic items, even when the item i want to do has 0% magic inside of it. i need to do a magic item, and when i do magic items i need to give it a weapon as a template. even when i want to start from scratch. Why isnt there an option were i can start a weapon from scatch like the option says.
When i want to make 2 types of throwing glaives 1 with 3 spikes and 1 with 4 spikes, i need to search a weapon that is close enough first. but when i write new stats like "it deals 3d4 damage and has 80ft range" the template weapon overshadows the original

Is there an option i dont see
There is not a system for creating mundane items at this time, you aren't missing something. The homebrew system is solely for magic items.
You can create custom attacks directly on the character sheet. I was able to, from there, to make something that deals 3d4 with an 80ft. range.
