I'm trying to make an alternative to the Weapon Master feat:
You have practiced extensively with a variety of weapons, gaining the following benefits:
Increase your Strength or Dexterity score by 1, to a maximum of 20.
Choose four weapons. You may add your proficiency bonus to damage rolls using these weapons.
I can figure out how to get a fixed bonus to damage. What I'm trying to figure out is if I can have it set to the proficiency so it'll scale as the character levels automatically , and to also have it be for the weapons selected. Is this possible to do with the Homebrew features currently?
Unfortunately there isn't a modifier available to do what you're looking for, but that means you weren't missing anything either!
One way to accomplish this in the current system would be to create variants of the feat per level, that the player replaces when they reach the next tier. So when they hit level 5, they swap to that version of the feat in order to get the +3 fixed bonus instead of +2.

Ah, well that too bad but I am glad I just wasn't missing something obvious.
Thank you for the suggestion, I think I'll try that for now.
