Here are a few issues I've noticed while playing around with the character sheet in the last few days :
- If you add a custom skill and set the proficiency to Half proficiency, then it will not round the value down. Example, on a level 5 character (proficiency +3), add a custom skill, set Half Proficiency, and set an ability for it, the value becomes "+1.5" for example.
- In my campaigns, within the character sheets of my characters, if I click on the Campaign button next to "Long rest", it pops a window with the list of characters and in it, it says "DM: snifikino" instead of "DM: KaKaRoToDM". My account is linked with my Twitch account which used to be "snifikino" but I changed it to "KaKaRoToDM" months ago. I could not find this mention of 'snifikino' anywhere in my account or profile on D&D Beyond, only in that one place in the character sheet. Note: I created the campaign recently, long after the name change.
- More of a behavior issue: If you select a spell for "Spell Mastery" for a wizard (for example Magic Missiles), the spell becomes "Cast at will" when clicked on in the spell list, but the sidebar doesn't have the '+' and '-' buttons to cast it as a higher level spell. We'd need to dismiss the sidebar and click on the spell as it appears lower in the list to cast it at a higher level. Similarly, if we choose the spell as a higher level, then clicking the "-" button to cast it lower, up to where it should be cast-able at will, it will still show it as needing to use a spell slot. It might be confusing to some users and makes it awkward to use.
- Magic Weapon spell shows it do "1 bludgeoning", "1 slashing" and "1 piercing" damage, instead of simply saying it grants +1 to the weapon. Casting it at a higher level keeps it displaying it as dealing 1 damage but it adds a line that says +2 bonus, which can be confusing (sounds like 1 damage + 2, when in fact it becomes a +2 bonus damage).
- I have an ultrawide screen (2560 x 1080) and the responsive nature of the web page makes it hard to use the sidebar which doesn't scroll with the window. I have to resize my window to not be maximized otherwise I keep scrolling up/down to see what is on the sidebar. I understand this is probably done on purpose between the mobile layout, the desktop layout and this 3rd widescreen layout that behaves this way on purpose, but I can't think of a reason to have the sidebar scrolled up and it would be nice if the 'lock' icon that appears would also lock the sidepanel so it doesn't scroll out of view when I scroll the main view (or add that as a separate icon)
- A suggestion rather than a bug: When clicking on a weapon, in the sidebar, it shows "Damage" (with the correct modifier for this character) but there is no "To Hit" line, which requires us to dismiss the sidebar to see it in the action tab. Also if we're in the equipment tab, we have no way of seeing the To Hit for the weapon, unless we switch to Actions.
- Another suggestion. If wearing heavy armor, the stealth check would need to have a Disadvantage icon next to it, just like Initiative can get the Advantage icon next to it for those with the feature (barbarian level 7 for example).
Thank you to all the devs for the really nice interface, and keep up the good work :)
