DNDBeyond is incorrectly increasing a character's Current HP when their Max HP increases. Found this using a character with the "Fixed HP" option.
For example: You are at 1/32 HP and your character levels up. Your character gains +6 to their Max HP. The +6 is erroneously added to the Current HP as well, leaving you with 7/38 HP.
I believe RAW, in this example you should be at 1/38 HP.
Relevant text from the PHB, "Beyond 1st Level":
Class Features and Hit Dice
Each time you gain a level, you gain 1 additional Hit Die. Roll that Hit Die, add your Constitution modifier to the roll, and add the total (minimum of 1) to your hit point maximum. Alternatively, you can use the fixed value shown in your class entry, which is the average result of the die roll (rounded up).
There is no mention of increasing your Current HP at all on a level up.
As a general rule, HP and Max hp track with each other; increasing/decreasing you max HP will increase/decrease your current HP too. I believe it's as intended that when you level up, your increase is applied to both current and max. Also consider that healing as part of a short rest is the exact same mechanism; roll a hit die and add con. If you're levelling up, you're rolling a hit die and adding con, except you're also increasing your max hp too.

Funny thing. That isn't written anywhere in the rules. It very well may be intended, but if you don't know how I feel about RAW vs RAI, check out my latest thread (and first poll).

Yeah, that's what gets me. I'd like to see where at least the precedent is set that current HP moves with max HP.
