I'm currently trying to create a homebrew dragonslaying weapon, so I started off with a sample and hoped to modify it from there. I started off with "Dragon Slayer Greatsword" and tried to make some simple modifications.
If you go down to "Modifiers" from the base magic item, there's the following entry:
Damage - Additional
Dice Roll - 3d6
Restriction - Against Dragons
This seemed appropriate. However, if I tried from scratch to "Add A Modifier" to another magic weapon and create a similar entry, there doesn't seem to be any way to add those same three values. For example, you can choose "Damage" but then there is no sub-type "Additional". There also doesn't seem to be a place to put the "Restriction" either.
Why are the example dragon slaying items using an entry that can't be added yourself?
The tools we get access to are a slightly reduced version of what the devs use because they don't want us to break anything. They plan to make an improved, easier to use version of the tools specifically for homebrewing.
