Especially early on in a campaign or with people new to D&D, my players tend to collect a lot of daggers, spears, and handaxes. They're all very afraid they're going to run out even though I generally don't track ammunition unless they're in an extreme environment that's designed to test their endurance.
Unlike generic equipment, adding multiples of weapons never stacks. In the inventory search field when adding I can set the quantity, but listed out in inventory they all show up separate.
I get that they're probably separated out for main-hand, off-hand, etc. but a stack of spears, javelins, daggers, etc. makes for a very long inventory list and is especially annoying on an exported character sheet.
