Why does it make zero sense? Wand-slingers were a thing in Eberron.
But I am not playing in Eberron, I am playing in the Forgotten Realms where my Artificer, while currently having a level in wizard cannot use a rod/staff/wand for ARTIFICER spells. So it is extremely situational, hence making zero sense to all but you apparently...

When you ask me what I'm doing today and I say "Nothing" it doesn't mean I am free, It means I'm actually doing nothing.

You're right. An artificer out of the box cannot use an arcane focus for casting spells. But they can use any infused item as a spellcasting focus. So buy one and infuse it. And if you happen to get a magic focus that doesn't require attunement by someone other than an artificer you can use that for an infusion, too.

I stand corrected, apparently I haven't looked at the rules on Spellcasting - Tools Required since I was level 1. And did not realize that. I could also use the pistol that I infused with repeating shot as a focus as well. I will have to look into this further to see what best suits my situation.

It's easy to miss, so don't feel bad. You can also mess around with the specific trappings a bit. For example, my battle smith can cast fire bolt as a "firearm" using his axe-pistol; which was a modification made via his tinker's tools. The downside is you can't technically infuse an already magical item (I spaced on that earlier), so forget adding this to, say, a wand of magic missiles.
But a battle smith could add it to a staff and use that weapon as a quarterstaff while attacking with their Intelligence modifier, instead of their Strength modifier.
This is working for me in the browser but when I use the app, I can't infuse anything. I don't get a popup or anything when I tap on any of the infusions.

Hi Stormknight i'm wondering how to add my Artificer Armorer Infusions from level 9. At this point you can infuse parts of your armor (helmet, gloves, boots etc) is there any way to do this without adding new items?

But you got the fluffy dice though right, so all sweet!
Life's hard - get a helmet!

Here's the character: https://ddb.ac/characters/63438816/UBs0yc
The App is more limited in functionality. They have been rolling out more features for it, but for now it's best to Edit On Website.

Also I don't know how to link my character sheet so will need help if I need to do that
I dont know on mobile, but on PC you can infuse them on the infusion tab, under the inventory tab!
Thank you!
Just another 90's kid.
Is the description in the OP still correct?
We have seen a flow today where we had to go to Inventory > Infusion > [select infusion] .. the flow from there seems to be the same.
Since this post is sticky'ed I think it would be helpfull for future artificers to have a precise description of the flow.
Also, I coudn't get the gif on the OP to load - but that might be my browser/ad-blocker that's causing issues.
Regards!
