I think it would be really cool if there was a simpler way to customize a monster than creating a full homebrew.
Personally I find sometimes I don’t need to make grand changes or add actions and modify them too much, I’m just looking for Simple tweaks like taking something that typically does fire damage and exchanging it for cold or changing it from a d6 to a d8 or d12
The simplest Approach I can think would be to add to a campaign a Creatures / NPC folder where once added certain customizations can occur.
Likewise once added to the encounter builder certain customization options can occur.
This would be designed around simple customizations like tweaking a plus to hit, proficiencies, damage types or dies.
It’s not too difficult to simply remember something does cold instead of fire damage but with the built in dice rolling features it would be nice to see those tweaks reflected for ease of tool usage.
Plus if an algorithm could be applied to calculate CR based on the changes that would be a nice extra benefit.

Why not simply say it's X damage?
