I've been playing the role of Dungeon Master for a while now and try to incorporate dndbeyond more into my routine. I love creating new campaigns and doing one shots to involve as many people as possible and let them enjoy the process of creating new characters.
I find a major flaw in the campaign page for players, which is how accessible all information is. In a new campaign, my players usually love not making it obvious what class they're playing, what items they have and even their names if they're a shady character.
Joining the same campaign as another player will give you their name, race, level and class. Albeit if you set your character privacy to 'private' they won't be able to get much more information than that.
I truly hope for the increased possibilities within 'campaign management' for a dungeon master to hide and modify things like characters and items accessibility. Sometimes the characters find items which they decide not to share with the other players. If I then add that homebrew content to my campaign, it will be searchable for all players.
I hope I'm not the only one with these opinions and that there in the future will be support for this type of features, I believe it would be a great addition to the campaign experience! :)
Agree so much with this. Just played a campaign where I had to join with a fake character, with homebrewed abilities to hide my actual character until the RP played out the reveal.
