I would think it would be a good idea if you had more ways to organize your characters. You could do this using folders, which you can then name as you wish. In addition, you could drag and drop the characters to the desired position or combine them into groups.
Came to forums to post the same thing. I have so many characters (and different versions of the same character) scrolling through them and remember what is what is getting difficult!

I was just coming to post about this as well. I’m running a game that has an adventurers guild, and it would be really nice to be able to have folders for each group
I'd also like to be able to sort characters. I use dndbeyond for all of the campaigns I gm and play in, so it would be nice to be able to separate out my player characters and make other categories for NPCs I build as characters in different parts of the campaign. A folder system would be fantastic, or just divide up the selection menu by headers that we can customize, and drag and drop characters between categories? Some sort of organization would be nice, it gets a little hard to manage.
I'd like to be able to use dnd beyond as more of a part of my gming process, and this could be a fantastic step towards that.
I also wish there was a "create folder" option for the players. It would be amazing to organize my character list into my npc's, my pc's, and random characters I build for fun. I also share this account with another dm and its beginning to become difficult to keep track of what's his and what's mine. Folders wold be such a simple fix that would benefit everyone immensely.
Although, I am worried about how often that this has been checked since there are posts from two years ago asking for the same thing.
So I created campaigns to separate them into. Things like test builds, future builds, and personal. I know it is not a perfect solution but it works pretty well for me.
I don't expect them to add this years wanted functionality or anything else. Hell you can't even automatically add the damage from rage. All the effort is going into the VTT they want to push everyone too for micro-transactions.

Posting for the same. Being able to group up your characters by adventure/campaign/custom would really alleviate a lot of scrolling for me too
Came here to ask for a way to favorite characters and I think folders would be vastly helpful, or any organization method for that matter.
If we could filter by favorites or tags that would be handy at least.
Thanks

Adding to this topic, as it's becoming an issue for me as well.
