I have an issue with the order of operations when making Homebrews (of all kinds)
After the initial act of creation (or after modifying the basic info), and presentation of the "Basic Information" for a monsters, spell or item. You must SAVE that, before progressing to the next section, Languages, Movement, Modifiers, etc.. If you don't you erase everythingyou've done. I do my best to remind myself, but inevitably I forget.
It seems simple solutions would (a) auto-save (if necessary) the basic information, or (b) prompt you to save before moving to another section, or (c) simple store the basic information when you move to the next section. I feel like the item one doesn't even give you the option of seeing the additional fields before you create and save the item, maybe that is the route to go.
I am usually in Chrome on my iPad (kids steal my Mac for Mindcraft) when this happens.

I feel like option B is a good idea.
I don't think auto-saving or caching are the way to go.
