I’ve been thinking, wouldn’t it be cool if they added the ability to give your characters pets for the dnd beyond character creater? a lot of the subclasses use pets, and it’s annoying to have to find the mastiff stats every time the halflings mount takes a hit. Vote up there ! ^
“In a hole in the ground there lived a hobbit. Not a nasty, dirty, wet hole, filled with the ends of worms and an oozy smell, nor yet a dry, bare, sandy hole with nothing in it to sit down on or to eat: it was a hobbithole, and that means comfort.”

On D&DB in the character view. Go to Extras then manage extras. Its in the drop down menu to add a pet.
I had basically assumed at this point that I couldn't add ranger companions because I couldn't find anything in clicking on tabs or in the forums until reading this. Clearly I didn't look hard enough. So thanks, this was really helpful. Curiously, it doesn't seem to include Primal Companions, only Beast Companions.

There are a lot of things from Tasha's that haven't been implemented yet, including monster stat blocks that work off of the PCs Proficiency bonusin the Extras menu.
To find your Primal Companion's statblock, go to features and traits, then click on the "Beast of the <choice>" bolded text under "Primal Companion"

Leaving OGL 1.0(a) untouched and making SRD 5.1 CC-BY-4.0 is a great first step. The next is a promise to do the same for future editions. Here's a discussion thread on that.

I guess they have a few other thins on their plate right now. Just give them some time and they will eventually add it in.

DDB is great, but it could be better. Here are some things I think could improve DDB
