I would like to start running a Online Campaigne with some friends using the DnD Beyond VTT. We have been using several other options over the last couple of years but for me the potential ease of use and low amount of prep time are valued quite high (importing maps / encounters / monster stats right from the books...)
A couple of key features I would really like to see on maps after testing with a buddy yesterday evening (ordered by importance):
- Allow Players to Roll from Maps (similiar to DM possibiliy when opening the stat block in the initiative tracker. Simplified Charater Sheet would be fine - maybe allow to "favorite" attacks and spells that would be displayed on the main character sheet)
- Allow Player Token / Monster Token Targeting and automatically determine Hits / Saving Throw Success and subtract damage
- Show all rolls animated on the Maps page (didnt think it would bother me that thats not there, but after getting used to it on other VTT it really does)
- Give an option to automatically remove the fog of war within player token visibility
Thats the top requests I can think of right now. I really appreciate the sleek design and clean interface. With the above I can see myself using this VTT for a new campaign and stick to dndbeyond for the forseeable future.
This, Majorly needed: - Allow Player Token / Monster Token Targeting and automatically determine Hits / Saving Throw Success and subtract damage
Also, I would like to see Avrae get the capability to load monsters based on the initiative tracker in Maps and be able to integrate with it so that attacks and damage in one are registered in both.
The DM needs to be able to modify the PC's health and apply conditions to help players who are unfamiliar with the controls. Also, to apply conditions on the monsters.
I love how Maps easily adapts its grid to my maps instead of having to do it the other way around. I can use map images from any source and be assured that they will work. Kudos!
Probably worth noting that it's mentioned by staff/mods that feedback for maps is only accepted through the feedback portal within maps itself. That's the grey tab on the right hand side of maps
Was looking for the button but cant find it. Looked before and now again after you mentioned it. Either I am blind (likely) or its well hidden/bugged. Hope they read their Feedback Forums too :)
Edit: Found it. Its a pop-up button that gets blocked by add block... :)
