D&D Deyond has just started bringing in Grim Hollow, by Ghostfire Gaming. What has me boggled is why DDB is bringing in 2 add-on books before the 3 core books. Especially since my DM has already introduced one of those core books, Grim Hollow: The Campaign Guide about 2 months ago. All I can say is: it's a good thing that game is run "old school" hard copy. I would really like to see Grim Hollow: The Campaign Guide offered by DDB next and fully integrated.
I imagine they're testing the waters before devoting the time and effort involved in porting over the whole thing. The Grim Hollow Monster Grimoire has 400 stat blocks in it, and Lairs of Etharis has less than a quarter of them.
Lets not forget Grim hollow main book also have transformations, new sub classes & new races. It is a huge add-on, and maybe require some changes in the back end to get right. that one is going to take time and we won't hear about it until they are ready to introduce it.
There isn't exactly a mechanic in DDB to use hit dice as a resource other than short rests, but Grim hallow uses hit dice in a lot of their spells.

Fair point. Thank you. The Vulcan in me was simply identifying what logic dictates.
As I alluded to; it would be nice to have available to all on DDB - Grim Hollow: The Player's Guide (which we all know contains the basics for character build, equipment, spells, and feats) and The Campaign Guide (with additional character development sections) Prior to Grim hollow add-on pubs. My statement is nothing more than wishful thinking combined with Vulcan logic.
I already have a full set of Grim Hollow sub-classes and spells (at least those in the three core books) re-created in private homebrew; there might be some minor mistakes as some things have only been tested quickly (slapped on a high level test character to see if everything shows up as expected), and we don't have a Sangromancy tag or way to implement those spells properly in homebrew, but they should all be functional enough to use.
Not that I think it matters with the licensing terms on the site, but I'm happy for that content to be copied if it gets the core books ported any sooner.
For devs that can look at my private homebrew I've given all Grim Hollow content a (GH) in the title, so Circle of Blood is "Circle of Blood (GH)", makes it a lot easier for me to find stuff. Please copy rather than change ownership, as my group's using a bunch of it already. 😝
I started implementing the transformations as feats but ended up repurposing them so I don't have any official Grim Hollow version of those; some of the transformations are really complicated, probably too complicated for the current feats system.
Former D&D Beyond Customer of six years: With the axing of piecemeal purchasing, lack of meaningful development, and toxic moderation the site isn't worth paying for anymore. I remain a free user only until my groups are done migrating from DDB, and if necessary D&D, after which I'm done. There are better systems owned by better companies out there.
I have unsubscribed from all topics and will not reply to messages. My homebrew is now 100% unsupported.
Can't disagree with you, to be honest. It kinda sucks not to have a lot of the cooler stuff in that book available here, like the College of Adventurers.
Check Kickstarter folks if you haven't already! There's a late pledge option which includes certain bundle options. Looks like they might be taking late pledges all the way up to release in November 2025. There are VTT options as well if you want to find out which platform I believe there is an option to choose not surenif it's 100% the one you choose will show up I think the platform that is chosen should be the one you get to use. Also I'm a fan of GH nothing else want to start campaigning the GH world but to little info at properly start a full campaign. Hopefully Nov. 2025

Pretty sure they wanted something they could add to the maps alpha

Does anyone know when Grim Hollow will be added to dnd beyond?
Would really love to see the Grim Hollow books added to D&D Beyond. Anyone have any idea when?
Dungeon Master.
The Dungeons of Drakkenheim is on dnd beyond and on sale rn. It's a grimhollow setting I think.
while Drakkenheim is also a ghost fire game. it is NOT Grimm Hallow.

Bumping this - would very much love for Grim Hollow's Monster Grimoire to be added.
