Request: When we copy/make a homebrew monster based off an existing monster in the database, allow us to optionally specify a challenge level for the monster.
Right now scaling monsters is a somewhat time-consuming task. The rules for Monster Scaling in Chapter 9 of the DMG are very useful, but applying those broad ideas to the specifics of a monster can be very 'fiddly'.
I know this functionality would be far more complicated than simple math, but having a built-in pass at getting hp, ac, and damage in the ballpark would be super helpful. At that point it would be on the DM to fine-tune for their group.
Agreed. It would be great to scale a monster up or down on the fly from the detail page... maybe then using the scaled monster as a basis for a homebrew creation. Definitely understand that many effects cannot easily be scaled, but with a disclaimer in place, seeing hp, ac, attack bonus, damage, and saving throws scale would save some mental gymnastics. :)
This would be a bit hard to implement. There are many dimensions along which a monster can be altered to change a CR. One could add more hp, change the AC, add extra attacks, etc.
This would be a neat function to have, although I agree it might be a massive undertaking that really isn't worth time for D&DB to do and instead just offload it onto spunky DMs.
So I'm for it, but not aware of how much time it would take and would rather have other features like just having an Encounter Builder at all.

This! Many times, this!

They should add average heights for monsters.
