I'd love to be able to add new fighting styles to D&D Beyond (I have one in my campaign and could easily see many more getting created).
Fighting styles function basically exactly like feats that only a few classes get. It seems like most of the custom feat code could be reused for custom fighting styles.. just where the new option gets inserted would change.
This is almost assuredly on some product manager's TODO: someday list, but figured I'd throw up a request for it.
Fighting Styles basically mirror feats - it should be easy to add a tick box to a custom feat that marks it as available in the fighting styles list as well? - Hope this feature happens someday.

Fighting styles are coded completely different from feats. Each class (and subclass) that has a fighting style had the complete list of fighting styles it can choose from attached to that class as an options list.
There is not a consolidated list of fighting styles with each fighting style having a tag to indicate which class/subclass can choose it like spells do. But this is what they will have to do in order to make them homebrewable.
There may eventually be a way to make a homebrew feat that lets you learn an additional fighting style, but it will never be used as a way to add fighting style options to a character (it is sort of being used that way as a work around to add homebrew fighting styles to characters, but is just as clunky as what you are proposing without devs designing it to be clunky).
Sorry for the ranty lecture, but your ignorant comment on an 8 month old thread kind of triggered me. Don't take it personally and I hope you find it informative.

While we're at it, let's ask for homebrew eldritch invocations and sorcerer metamagics.
