It would be really great to be able to choose what information gets pushed from the builder to the exported PDF.
I really wanted to use D&D Beyond to manage characters for my group of 1st time players, the ability to see only the relevant choices and information when they levelled up etc would be so much easier than having them go through the books etc (plus it would save time).
However, the PDF sheet you get at the end is so complicated, dense, and jargon heavy (They're not going to know what "XGtE" is, or what "D: 1h, 20ft Sphere, V/M" means for their Light spell, or why Hex has <C> listed after it) that it defeats the purpose. Yes, it is form fillable so you can go through and change/add things. However, when they level up next in DnDBeyond, you'd have to do that all over again.
We're going to want to use the exported sheets in actual play, and they get filled with so much irrelevant information like armour proficiencies, or that your subclass affords you an expanded spell list, or the full list of Standard Actions, or the stats for an unarmed strike.
What I need is a screen where you (or your DM in a shared campaign under the Master Subscription) can select which details are pushed through to the PDF so that we could cut out all of the extra stuff that would overwhelm a new player and/or be redundant for an experienced player.
There's been so much great work done to streamline the character building and levelling up process. I'd love to use it for my new players. They can add a level, and then the new stuff appears and any choices they need to make are highlighted for them. Perfect! That ethos of user-friendly, and understandable design needs to extend to the character sheet itself so they can level up, hit export to pdf and print off their new sheet no issues.
I noticed some detail was missing from the export like Additional equipment list etc. I would LOVE the option to be able to include/exclude EVERY element of data from the character into the exported sheets. My fighter doesnt need the spell list exported for example, and my rogue has a growing list of "stuff" he's been stealing from other characters. Would be nice to customize their exported sheets.
We use these to print out just before a session and update them after, so new version each session makes for a easier campaign!

I agree with everything said here.

Bump.
