Been using DND Beyond for about a year now (thank you critical role). here's my thoughts thus far.
when leveling up, add in a button to roll dice for HP on the HP section.
when spending hit dice, have it roll the hit dice and add the hp to the current hp.
pets, companions, etc. have an option to "enable them" and place their actions on the character sheet. i use the website on my phone to play, and going from my character sheet to extras to my companion to that stat sheet to their attack is not a fun gameplay loop and bogs down combat.
i've seen my HP get reset when i go to look up something on the site and come back to my character sheet.
option to roll a d12 for toll the dead.
option to cast spells like shield of faith on our character so that when we cast it, we can select ourselves as the target and the app applies the AC modifier. build a turn tracker so that we can count down the 10 turns (1 minute) the spell lasts. this goes for other spells like bless and what not.
---- design feature for the turn countdown. if multiple spells are cast that last for a minute without the need for concentration, then have them stack up and put in a "turn" button. when the button is pressed it removes 1 turn from each of the spells. when a spell expires, the effects are removed.
actions, spells, equipment feels like a more natural progression of sheets than actions, equipment, spells. an option to stack the sheets in an order that suits the player most wouldnt be terrible.
put an ammo count next to weapons with the ammo property. when you hit the button to roll for an attack, deplete the ammo count. if there's no ammo left, grey out the button.
I'm not looking for "here's how you do that". i know how to get all the things done in the application. i think they should be more automated.
