I understand the need for somethings (i.e. beholders) but this is WotC official I think they can afford to use some of their own trademarks on their product.

It's just for the beta. The information is all from the SRD so that's why it says GM. When this app launches with the full PHB/DMG/MM etc. it'll say DM.
Hmm, I understand and respect your preference but personally I do not see that much of a difference, after all how can one be inferior when it is such an important possison.
I started playing D&D with the White Box. Back then through 1st Edition, DM was prudent due to the extensive dungeon-crawling content. Most people were NOT RP-ing games back then...it was more of a tactical game. Those days are NOT today...we have grown and changed.
GM is the same as DM. GM is more of a entire-game world, DM is more of a dungeon-game world.
I would rather WotC adopt their own...WM. World Master. D&D has changed into complete worlds...why not have a "moniker" that reflects it. WM also leads to a more stylized look...something that can be used in marketing...and WotC is all about marketing! -)

This is Dungeons and Dragons. We don't have Game Masters here we have, we have Dungeon Masters. GM sounds inferior.
It's SRD related
D&D is the only game where I use the term, DM. All other games I have used the term, game master.
When I see GM, I think General Manager.
Agreed my friend, I never thought about this, but sounds great!
