D&D beyond is absolutely great for character sheets and helping the party keep track of all its stuff. But what about all of YOUR content from the DMs side. The feature I would love to see is a total loot table from all the books/content/adventures you own.
There some that have been made by third parties that have lots of helpful features like selecting the parties level, number, even classes. But if D&D beyond had this to where it would only show things from your owned books or SRD content (it would have to leave out homebrew because there is no way to balance the level recommendation unless you added that as a choice in the homebrew creation page).
The way I see this being beneficial to the DM is so I can have this info:
1. Know what items from all my books, adventures, and so on that I currently own. I know you can go to the magic item page and see ALL items from the game but I really don't like clicking on an item and seeing I need to buy this book when I'm trying to give out loot. I get it when you are just looking through all the items for ideas and such but this would be kind of a loot table thing that would make it fast and easy for the DM to give out stuff they already own. I love the loot tables in the DMG but now with Xanathars, Tashas and all the adventure specific loot its hard to roll on a table and show off some of the awesome items that are new.
2. Keeping it kind of balanced knowing an item is recommended for 1-4 vs. 16-20 (I know there is the common, uncommon, rare, etc.) This has the benefit for new DMs not having to worry about overpowering their players because they saw something that looked cool and then had an 'oh no' moment
3. Be able to share this all super easy with my players. I think DMs and players would like it and I would love to see this be implemented.
