My character shouldn't have proficiency with the Hand Crossbow, because it's a ranged martial weapon with light rather than a melee. I think the weapon proficiencies are also misprinted in the table at the top of the Monk class: https://www.dndbeyond.com/classes/2190880-monk but the detailed version below is correct.

Good catch. Can confirm, checked the text of the PHB as well (because there could have been a mismatch between that and the class page) and the PHB has the same issues.
EDIT: Looked again as an afterthought. Proficiencies are correct. The more restrictive weapons are Monk weapons that count for Martial Arts, not general proficiencies.
