Thank you for all the reports on the app not being available. We are trying to resolve the issue if it is up to us. Sorry for the inconvenience. Please wait a little longer.
I just got the invite on testflight, looking good but I have hit one bug I think.
When I try to set a condition (doesn't matter which one I pick) it always sets the poisened one. I cannot unset it afterwards. I was able to set/unset it via the web though and the status does get reflected immediately.
Got my invite and excited to download and test it out. Following so that I know when Google has processed the update and I can actually get the app.

If you play a bard and would like to have some insults available when you cast Vicious Mockery, checkout my app currently available on Android devices.
Like the rest of D&D Beyond, I really like how this looks. Excited to see this next phase.
And now a bit of heresy.
I don't think the "big 6" stats need to be so large in the app. We really don't use those bonuses and stats directly that often when playing. They're always added to something else, so showing them by themselves is of little help. I'm not suggesting that they not be visible. I just think they don't need to dominate the interface.
When I'm playing, I want
AC
Hit Points
Saves
Common skills (Perception, Stealth, et al)
Attacks
Special abilities
On my phone, I'd love a single, configurable "quick" page with my most often referenced values. Then I'd like to swipe between pages like:
I received the invite this morning thru TestFlight. Installed and started playing with one of my characters.
I was able to deduct and restore HP (using both the scrolling number widget and by manual input of values). I added Temporary HP, then was also successfully able to deduct and restore HP, with the Temp HP taken into account correctly.
I was able to add and remove levels of exhaustion.
I like what I see so far. Layout is good and everything is very readable. A few oddities like scaled spells showing incorrect information in the Effects column (e.g. 2nd level Cure Wounds shows 1d8+A instead of 2d8+A) but I’m guessing those will get cleaned up in the pass that adds detailed displays and editability.
Navigating pages via a pop-up menu feels slow and unnecessary. Would much prefer tabs or buttons or something else that allows direct access to where I want to go,
Some additional information may need to be duplicated on some pages since the main character sheet isn’t persistent the way it is on the website. For example, a concentration check being listed alongside spell attack and save DC on the Spells page would prevent the need to return to Abilities page if you’re checking if a spell you’ve cast requires concentration.
Overall, I think it’s definitely headed in the right direction. A lot of usability will be hard to evaluate until detailed displays and editability are in place but for the most part it definitely feels right.
I haven’t had much time with it but the very first thing I personally enjoy is the darker screen, way easier on the eyes. But I would like to see a feature to change between a dark and light mode.
Troubleshooting beyond what has been posted in case it helps.
I have 86 HP, I put my iPad into Airplane mode and found I could change my HP total, but conditions and were locked while the app said I was offline(expected). I subtracted 6 hit points. Showed my new total. I turned off airplane mode(With the app still open) and it resync'd with the online copy and showed my PC having 86 hp(expected as only online is working). But when I view my character sheer on the website it shows me now as having 80 hp instead. So it's like the two updates are crossing paths. If I leave and come back the app now shows 80 hp on my PC.
I've got it downloaded and looks great. I'm looking at my top character right now, the one that I play currently. At the moment, I've noticed only two oddities:
FIRST
I did some experimenting with this character when I was deciding what to multiclass into. He's a Rogue but I tried out Fighter for a multiclass then decided to go to Monk Way of the Shadows. When I go to the actual character page, it correctly reads Half-Elf Rogue 9 Monk 4. But when I'm back to the My Characters list view, it incorrectly lists Lvl 13 | Half-Elf Rogue - Assassin - Fighter - Battlemaster - Fig...then it gets cut off. So it seems to be pulling in classes that were deleted as I was honing in on my multiclass.
SECOND
Under the Actions tab, it shows Uncanny Dodge but it's missing Evasion. Evasion does show up under the Features and Traits tab, but it's not carrying over to Actions.

Great experience so far. All the HP and exhaustion tools are working as intended for me.
Just wanted to flag that equipment is not toggling on for me, which on its own isn’t a huge problem, but for newer players seeing their actions available to them is probably quite important. Is this as intended in the current build? I may have skimmed over it reading through everything.

I love the current aspect of the app. As more editing/running the character sheet functionalities are added, I am certain it will prove to be an awesome tool.
One question: is the intent to keep the back connection to source books as online, or would it “connect” to the downloaded source books kept in the compendium app?
For the time being, it is going to stay as it is now. We might consider linking the two apps later.
Today we released v0.6 with the following capabilities:
Modify HP when you are online
Modify conditions and exhaustion when you are online
By "online" does that mean changes made while offline will update to the servers and regular online sheet once the app reconnects, or that you need to be currently online to make those changes to a character within the app? Obviously #1 is the eventual behavior, but I suppose #2 is possible as it is being developed.
I ask because I've been eagerly following the thread to see how things are progressing, but haven't yet gotten an invite to try it out myself. Still hopeful I will though!
Temporarily, it is the latter. But, as you said, we are expecting to do it as expected soon. I'd even risk saying 'very soon'.
Definitely a promising start. Obviously being able to update information, use spell slots, etc. is very important, and I look forward to that functionality being added.
When browsing my spells, it shows my upcast-capable spells at each level they can be cast, but does not properly scale them. So *fog cloud* displays the same aoe for every level, and *catapult* shows the same damage for every level. Related: my character is 5th level but *fire bolt*’s damage is listed as 1d10.
It’s also hard to tell which spells are upcasts and which are at their base level. They aren’t highlighted the way they are on the web sheet.
Finally, it sucks not having the spell descriptions to pull up. I would have to open my DDB Compendium App to see what *cloud of daggers* actually does.

Received invite to ALPHA app... But rcvg error stating it's not available?!
Hope someone sees/corrects this
Thanks
I got the invite today but the link won't let me access the app, despite using the same email I signed up for the alpha with.

Hey guys,
Great experience so far. All the HP and exhaustion tools are working as intended for me.

So, am I reading right that some of the new folks are able to edit HP and conditions and such?

Editing HPs is working for me. I'm also able to add any Condition or level of exhaustion to the character.
