then tell me, which would you prefer (and i suggest going and looking it up, or just picking one off the top of your head) :Fiend, Archfey, Old One, Undying. they each have their own unique points, with the first three being found in the players handbook, and im not sure where the last was introduced
@Crueak_Duskwalker: I would recommend picking up a copy of the Player's Handbook. It is the bare minimum you will need to be able to play the game effectively. Looking up stuff online is handy, but it can also be inaccurate depending on your sources and whether or not you know what to look for. For example, Warlocks have a "patron," or a god-like being from another plane of existence that allows Warlock's to do what they do. You would choose from one of the four that Master_of_Wolves listed. The Player's Handbook walks you through character creation and play for each class, as opposed to information online that can get muddied with homebrew/custom content and poor advice.
... i have no clue about that...
(what i say man im new to this i just look it up online)

unless, of course, that information comes straight from wizards of the coast, such as from this site.
Hexblade is a patron from unearthed arcana
with the patron being the intelligent weapon itself, right?
well, i have to say that i apologize. i misunderstood what you were saying, and i deeply apologize for it
But znyways, i just read up on the hexblade. it seems that the hexblade is more like a subclass, while their patron would be the RAven Queen
wait, for get i said anything, i'm a dumbass. i missread the page.
Also if you want a melee champ I have a cleric that I want to play as well I could do that instead?
Sure, go right ahead. i assume you'll be taking the War Domain?
