has anyone ever split their players into teams then have them try to accomplish a task only one can finish? i have once and it is a lot of fun looking for a a castle map that is at least 5 levels high or has five different maps any ideas?
I don't have any maps myself. I did a quick check and there seems to be a lot of editors and generators online for various D&D stuff including castles.
It might help to know the goal of the PvP exercise. Are they racing to a finish line? Are they trying to collect/kill more than the others? Is it a last-player-standing situation?
Does it need player-manipulated obstacles like triggering traps on other players or securing doors? Does it need environmental hazards? Does it need exterior considerations like climbing walls, shooting from windows into courtyards, using ballistas on the castle structure, and the like? Does it need weapons or magic items for players to pick up and use on other players?
Should it include standard castle essentials like barracks, kitchens, stables, commons, throne room, treasure vault, and the like? Should it be just an arena of multiple levels?
Will it be teams or individual free-for-all? Will it symmetrical play or asymmetrical? (Asymmetrical is like Dead by Daylight - extremely weak players against one strong player.)

Human. Male. Possibly. Don't be a divider. My characters' backgrounds are written like instruction manuals rather than stories. My opinion and preferences don't mean you're wrong. I am 99.7603% convinced that the digital dice are messing with me. I roll high when nobody's looking and low when anyone else can see.🎲 “It's a bit early to be thinking about an epitaph. No?” will be my epitaph.
the story is one player is the king and two supporters a wizzard and captian of the guard the other is the duke ot kings brother and two supporters and the duke is to try and take over the kingdom so lots of secret notes and what not and if the king finds out then the duke looses, it auta be a lot of fun
