Looking for some ideas for official magic items that I can give to my players in a CoS campaign. Looking for items that have a creepy or cursed vibe. Items that are similar to the Gulthias Staff. Any ideas?
You need to be more specific to get helpful answers. You want official items (which already exist in CoS already) but we don't know the classes of the players and you also can just spend the time reading the DM Guide's magic item sections.
CoS has quite a few magic items but there is a scarcity of items that might be useful for specific builds. In addition, a lot of these magic items are actually in the castle making them something that is only obtained later in the campaign.
e.g. There are no magic bows in CoS. There is a very limited number of magic weapons of any kind. There are very few (maybe only two?) sets of magical armor (and one of those is animated).
However, Sanvael's request for more information would make it easier to offer suggestions.
I'm looking for items outside of the CoS book, but that are official and not homebrew. Race, class, and level shouldn't matter. I have found a few but was hoping that maybe there were items I hadn't found yet that others might know of... Items like Stone of Ill Luck, Loadstone, and Potion of Poison.
I haven't played CoS... I assume there's at least one Cloak of the Bat you can acquire somewhere in that adventure, but if not that feels like a pretty obvious item to include.
Just going through a list of magic weapons, I'll mention some that catch my eye.
Acheron Blade - This is a rare weapon, so you might want to save it for decently into the campaign, but it lets you use dark magic to gain temp HP and lets you imbue a form of fear into an enemy to give them disadvantage on saving throws.
Arrow of Slaying - These arrows are one-time-use special ammo that deal massive damage to specific creature types. They're pretty customizable... you can have an Arrow of Slaying that deals extra damage to Undead as a whole, or Arrows of Slaying that specifically target Vampires, or specifically target black slimes, or you could even justify an arrow of slaying that targets on single, very specific enemy (like Strahd himself)
Berserker Axe - A classic cursed weapon... it gives you a bonus to damage and a boost in health, but every time you get hit you risk going berserk and just attacking everyone near you, including allies.
Bloodaxe - Deals additional necrotic damage to anything except Undead or Constructs, and grants temp HP when you kill a viable target. A good situational weapon for CoS.
Bonecounter - It's a +2 mace, which is just good to have, but has kind of a funny special effect where killing an Unedead creature just makes a single silver piece appear in your pocket.
Broom of Flying - Classic witch's broom, I feel like it doesn't really need much explanation.
Butcher's Bib - An always-bloody leather apron that lets you re-roll damage and slashing weapons crit on a 19
Candle Mace - Just a big mace that glows... the visual just seems appropriate to me.
Corpse Slayer - A weapon type that can be applied to any weapon you feel is appropriate... deals extra damage to Undead and gives them disadvantage against anything that Turns Undead.
Cursed Luckstone - Gives you Advantage on one ability check... then gives disadvantage on the next two checks you make.
Demon Armor - +1 Armor that gives you a cool d8+1 Claw attack, but also gives you disadvantage if you ever attack a demon and also disadvantage to resist their spells.
Devotee's Censer - A religious censer that functions as both a Holy Symbol and as a flail... deals extra radiant damage per attack and has a healing aura effect once per day.
Dread Helm - Probably the dumbest magic item... while wearing the helm your eyes glow red but doesn't actually provide any mechanical benefits.
Okay, that's just me getting through the list of magic items I found up to the D's, but I hope it helps inspire you a bit.

I suggest looking at Special Features for arbitrary magic items.

I like Pantagruel666 suggestion of using the Special Features for arbitrary magic items. Especially the quirks.
