I'm new to the world of dragonlance and I'm getting the shadow of the dragonqueen, but it only goes to level 15 and I wanna run a level 20 campaign so I was of making a homebrew set in Krynn but it takes place a few years after the shadow of the dragonqueen. Would that work lorewise or is there another event after that in world of dragonlance.
There’s a whole bunch of Dragonlance novels that talk about life on Krynn after the War of the Lance, but I think they’re all officially non-canon now that the world has been rebooted. You may be better off just reading the Dragonlance Chronicles and then just inventing your own head canon. Plus level 20 is really high level. There’s not gonna be a lot of official support for that.
If you’re looking for lore because you want some help with plot hooks, then, yeah, the novels are a good bet. I believe there are some that explore the time after the war, some are prequels, some have a bunch of time travel and are both sequel and prequel. There’s lots to mine. There’s also dragonlance stuff from earlier editions that might give you ideas, I can’t remember when they might happen.
If you’re looking for lore because you don’t want to go against it, don’t worry about that. None of your players are likely to know it, and no one else would care. Just carry on the story in whatever direction you like and what will be fun for your players.
I don‘t quite get it - Do you want to start your campaign with high levels after the War of the Lance? Then you don‘t really need SotDQ. I mean normal Draconians are no match for that kind of party level, so monster stats are quite irrelevant, maybe with the exception of Lord Soth, if you want him to be your BBEG (which can be cool for your players if they know a bit about Dragonlance) If you just want background information on Krynn, read the classic novels and get an older edition sourcebook (plenty out there). Otherwise - as mentioned before - There‘s time travel with all it‘s paradox happening after the War of the Lance, so do what you want.
Not really so I wanna start at level 1 but go up to level 20 instead of 15 so I'm trying to make a homebrew one set after the war of Lance
Well, then going after Lord Soth would be a classic Dragonlance campaign with a cool BBEG. Maybe get familiar with Ravenloft for ideas and play an undead campaign set in Krynn. There‘s a lot of old material for Dargaard Keep (Lord Soth’s castle) out there, too. Or Lord Soth would be the natural next leader supreme in the service of Tiamat/Takhisis after the war.

I really like D&D, especially Ravenloft, Exandria and the Upside Down from Stranger Things. My pronouns are she/they (genderfae).
That's why I'm making homebrew
There is no official lore after the War of the Lance except for the Weis and Hickman novel Dragons of Deceit so lorewise that works.

Edit: It also connects to SotDQ
Maybe just speed up level progression?
