Watching Critical Role, I implemented maps and miniatures early in my fights. I use to print the maps out, instead of scetching or anything else.
I later used my computer with my old 24“ screen with the program “dungeon board” (a map viewing option with fog of war and stuff) , which I found using a popular search engine.
It is made in java and is buggy at times, but it really lets me improvise fights as a DM. Also preparation is a lot shorter and it can be spontaneous.
I am now looking for an iOS equivalent of this to replace the computer. I already use the screen over an Apple TV, which works really well.
Do you people have any suggestions or maybe other ideas entirely?
