Through the years we've seen so many worlds settings Forgotten Realms/Faerun being at the top. I've ran adventures away from the Sword Coast. I have been focusing on the Western Heartlands and also researching the Dalelands. I've seen the Forgotten Realms be the forefront, the go to world from 2nd edition all the way to 5th edition. Don't get me wrong Forgotten Realms has stories yet to be told and we as DM's tell those stories.......but what about GREYHAWK!? Ghosts of the Saltmarsh is an adventure, it doesn't even come close. Plus there is a guy that updated Greyhawk on patreon. Greyhawk has rich history.......hell Vecna is from Greyhawk. We need a guild to Greyhawk and that needs to happen but until then.........
There's a lot of GREYHAWK published in previous editions all the way back to AD&D, 2nd Edition, 3.X E etc so the lore is there depending on which Common Year era you want to play in. I just finished a 5th Edition GREYHAWK campaign set around Verbobonc in 598 CY using Living Greyhawk Gazetteer sourcebook among other things that was a lot of fun!
I've always wondered, what sets Greyhawk apart from any other setting? dark sun, spelljammer, eberon, strixhaven, etc have their obvious quirks. ravinca and dragon lance are a little more subtle but can be still be summed up succinctly. however, for me, greyhawk has always just been "dnd minus Waterdeep." what's the draw besides Acererak, Vecna, and itself being old?

unhappy at the way in which we lost individual purchases for one-off subclasses, magic items, and monsters?
tell them you don't like features disappeared quietly in the night: providefeedback!

For us OG types, Greyhawk is where we started, with classic modules like The Temple of Elemental Evil, The Giants-Drow-Lolth series, etc,
You do not need to use all the information because most people in the world only know the bare basics about the rest of the world. So if a campaign starts in a small village or town the players do not necessarily need to know the whole political history of the world. That is something that can be learned as the players gain levels.
Its just a complete world with a rich history that can be drawn from to make hundreds of missions and campaigns.
What always bothered me about Greyhawk is that it feels like all the names were rolled up in a name generator. Like, Verbobonc like Plaguescarred mentioned. What kinda name is that?! oO
Otherwise it's great, I like Iuz and I like the ... Scarlet Brotherhood, is that the name? It's been a while. The Principalities is a great area to work with. And all the big wigs are from there, Mordenkainen and Bigby and all the rest. I mean ... not all the big wigs were part of the Circle of Eight. But ... still.

Blanket disclaimer: I only ever state opinion. But I can sound terribly dogmatic - so if you feel I'm trying to tell you what to think, I'm really not, I swear. I'm telling you what I think, that's all.

For a lot of information spread over all editions https://greyhawkonline.com/greyhawkwiki/Main_Page
Oh yes there is a ton of content. I just don’t know where to start. I started researching I think the Greyhawk Wars would be amazing.

Its such a well formed and massive world.
