In Aqc Inc book episode 3 there is a ghost as you enter the lighthouse. The ghost was brought back by the necromancer's mark.
Does destoring the body/mark leave the ghost form free and out from control of nercomancer or does it just make the ghost disappear? Not really explored the necromancy side of dnd until now.
I'm just thinking for the quirkiness of a possible majordomo of the haunted lighthouse.
it's been a while, but back in episode 2 there were warhorse skeletons with hoobur's mark that pop up and surprise everyone. these creatures "don’t follow the standard rules by which a spellcaster character might create undead," says the sidebar. so it's up to dm fiat whether the mark a.) triggers undeath as a sort of magical trap, b.) indicates rituals already accomplished, or if c.) the wards control the creature as part of a ritual in progress. i'm inclined to say no to 'c.)' so you don't encourage called shots on runes or else players are going to start telling you they're aiming for eyes or throats or whatnot next. 'a.)' seemed least plausible, so i went with 'b.)' as evidence left behind.
my table got distracted before the lighthouse. :D
anyway, pick whatever's easiest to remember and stick with it!

unhappy at the way in which we lost individual purchases for one-off subclasses, magic items, and monsters?
tell them you don't like features disappeared quietly in the night: provide feedback!
Thank you :)
