I don't recall there being something like that in the DMG or other core books, but it could be easily homebrewed, I'm sure someone has done that already. What class and level is your player?
How about a strength potion sword like two ingredients in the parts that when combined (via attaching the swords together)make a potion. And it could have a one day recharge (for the ingredients to fill back up).
You might consider a weapon that has a rechargeable feature that imposes a condition, and the off-hand weapon has a benefit if the target fails the save. For example, Dagger A has a chamber that stores 3 doses of poison per day. As part of an attack action, the wielder can expend one charge to poison the target for one round. Dagger B deals extra damage to creatures poisoned by its sister blade. Modify the doses/charges/damage as fits your needs.
The closest thing to a "combo" of magic items in 5E that I'm aware of is combining the Hammer of Thunderbolts with Gauntlets of Ogre Power and a Belt of Giant Strength. And that requires all of a character's attunement slots, making it a rather annoying setup.

Find your own truth, choose your enemies carefully, and never deal with a dragon.
"Canon" is what's factual to D&D lore. "Cannon" is what you're going to be shot with if you keep getting the word wrong.
2 daggers? seems similar to black and white daggers (by kobold press, check "vault of magic" book if i not mistake) one with +1 bonus vs monstrosities and one +1 vs undead, if monstrosity or undead sucessfuly hit with both it get extra dmg
so here is the thing...
one of my players wants 2 one handed weapons that work together with a combo that intertwines for duel wielding
e.g. if you seen an anime called Shangri-la Frontier the main character has 2 dagger that once activated they do alot more damaged with other effects
im sure in the DMG is are 2 swords, scimitars or daggers that do something similar but cant remember what the name of the item is called
if you can help id be so thankful
